judging by the highlights, he might be better on LW, giving SES some competition... and Ljajic/Robinho for RW, that doesn's sound so bad

Looks like he is far far better on the left. He and SES should compete for that spot

Allegri spotted that he's more comfortable playing on the left, this is why i love Allegri he know what's best for the youngster but not for fodder.

Niang is a bit better with his left foot than El Shaarawy, which makes him slightly more unpredictable in the wings. However he also favors his right foot and also is much weaker at finishing because he is more predictable when getting ready to shoot. There were two or 3 times where he entered the penalty area and got blocked at the moment of shooting.

I don't think he plays better at right side than left side, with Sao Paulo he did great at left side ...

Tbh he was good last season on the right too

Looks like he can play all positions in attack to a reasonable degree, left right and second striker. And can develop into a CF in the future

Love this player:thumbsup:

Sick of hearing about Niang's "potential". Dude's been given a million chances with no end product.

Time to cash in. Swapping 50% for Perin would be perfect.

:fp: What an Idiot!!! How can you dismiss Niang's talent when in the same post you reference Ljajic who until last yr was in Niang's situation...a young unproven talent. Until last season, Ljajic had a massive goal tally of 4 FUCKIN GOALS IN 3 SEASONS IN ALL COMPETITIONS lol. Just like Niang his talent was evident but the numbers weren't there to back that talent up. Guess what? look at him now...he's finally ready for a big club now after bursting onto the scene at 18!

Young players need time and Niang is as young as it gets. Always was the case and always will be in Football. Niang in 1 season has shown more than Ljajic did in his first two seasons.

Kingsley Boateng has talent for scoring a goal on a counter attack, but Niang who made a mockery of Ivanovic and Cahill who by the way are champions of Europe for 2 years in a row now isn't a talent? Niang was able to accelerate past Cahill like Bale did against Maicon AT the age of 18. Where was Bale when he was 18? Niang is in the build of George Weah and Henry, he has INCREDIBLE raw acceleration and has terrific technique. His problems and short comings are all things that come with age. Niang was able to replicate what Pato did at Camp Nou, but came short cause he hit the post. Had Niang scored vs Barca, we'd be talking ALOT different about him. You guys expect Niang to be a 10+ goal a season player at this age. He's still a kid, players like him usually hit their prime at 25-26, so he still has a good 7-8 years before he reaches his full stride.

Allegri: "We need balance with young players: we mustn't glorify them when they do well nor "kill" them when they make mistakes".

See,Allegri fancy his youngster but failed with the fodder.

Mourinho said Niang and SES are promised a great future but for you niang is talentless:lol::fp: . Ljajic was nothing yet at 18 yers old, he was also unless for you ... Not petagna or kingsley boateng that mourinho holds in young but niang and SES , you should buy glasses man ...

Niang has talent but so do a million 18 year olds.

He keep's getting chances but has no end product. Petagna's made more of an impact in far fewer games.

Problem is management/media/Niang himself have hyped him as the next Balotelli when he's nowhere near.

Balo scored 8/22 & Pato 9/18 when they were 18.

Regardless of what anyone here thinks management's lost faith in him. They're backing Petagna over him. A year ago he was unsellable now they're considering swap deals.

Even a tree has potential to score goals, that is not arguable, but Potential is something that can't be quantified, which means that there will always be stupid debates like these ones. Some people discuss and express their opinion about Niang based on facts, and others just keep bringing the argument of "potential". This can't lead to anything good :)

Petagna made more because he score two goals in friendly matches :fp: , its so ridiculous , against chelsea we see the potentiel to be a top player and its niang and el shaarawy , mourinho is not crazy ... As said pazzini some players need time to scores a lot of goals .
