but seriously I think it would be Barca again...

I'll be backing Valencia again this season. I wouldn't say i'm a Che fan, but I do admire the silky football they play. A solid defence too........... well, by Spanish standards it's solid ;)

They used to be good but now  it's not the Valencia that it used to be...they'll go for 4-6 place I guess...

Last season I would agree with you, but i think they had one of the most effective transfer campaigns in the summer to cut out the crap, i.e. Corradi and Fiore. And brought in young stars to fill in the cracks, i.e. Villa and Miguel ( I don't consider Kluivert to be a star signing so we shall ignore him ). The result is one of the best balanced squads in European football at the moment:

Caņizares

Miguel Ayala Marchena

Rufete Albelda Baraja Vicente

Aimar

Villa Mista

Subs

Butelle
Carboni
Moretti
Hugo Viana
Edu
Mista
Di Vaio

This squad may lack the attacking clout of Barca, and the defensive tightness of Juve. But what it does have is balance and quality in all departments. And just look at that midfield
With a good manager this squad could go places, it's just a pitty that they aren't in the CL this season, they would have been special to watch, not like Villareal who are so boring.

P.S. I realise the irony in me eulagizing Valencia on a night when they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Racing Santander so there is no need to mention it ;)

I think it will be Barca but I hope At. Madrid can at least, in 4th or 3rd..

MaGasTeR 31-10-2005 08:47

It will be a close encounter between Real and Barca, but I'd love to see Villareal champions \o/

Besi 31-10-2005 13:19

I like Barcelona , 1st almost all my friends are Barca fans and that influenced me , in other side they have Ronaldinho & Messi .. players that I like so much .. also Raikard is doing great job with rotation system there .. I saw yesterday the game.. they won 5 - 0 .. and what a great game they made.. Its pleasure to watch such a spectacle .. I am sure Milan will give that possibility very soon :)

r3dman 31-10-2005 13:48

You gotta love the way Barcelona plays. I'm not their biggest fan, but I'd like to see Milan attack the way they do. I go for Barca as winners this year.
I also like the way Valencia plays, not as spectacular as Barcelona, but it's still quality football. Ah, and...Villa rules.
I take this oportunity to spit on Real Madrid, that Juve of Spanish football.

the midfiels sounds really great but they were good in the past and for example-Vincente-he was great but after his injury he's not the player he used to be...
but I wish them to run over Real,'cause I really don't like themm :head:
