UEFA Champions League 2019/20

Group A Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Club Brugge, Galatasaray.
Group B Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur, Olympiacos, Red Star Belgrade.
Group C Manchester City, Shakhtar Donetsk, Dinamo Zagreb, Atalanta.
Group D Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Lokomotiv Moskva.
Group E Liverpool, Napoli, Salzburg, Genk.
Group F Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Internazionale, Slavia Praha.
Group G Zenit Saint Petersburg, Benfica, Lyon, RB Leipzig.
Group H Chelsea, Ajax, Valencia, Lille.

nonsonoqui 29-08-2019 18:09

I think apart from Inter, Napoli, Atalanta, and Juventus have reasonably good groups.

In Napoli's and Atalanta's cases they both realistically would be vying for 2nd spots in their groups. Napoli will fancy their chances against Salzburg and Genk. Last year they had PSG and Liverpool and it came down to a tie-breaker.

Atalanta could have had a much worse group. They will at least give it a go against Shakhtar and D. Zagreb. City will be too much of course.

Juventus shouldn't have trouble getting through their group.

Inter has it the worst, which warms my heart.

Tricky for Atalanta I think.

I hope Inter and Dortmund can somehow cause a massive upset.

Juve will easily qualify.

Napoli will be looking forward to meeting Liverpool again. They were the better team against Liverpool for the majority of the tie and could have knocked out the champions in the first round last year. (As well as PSG).

necromancer 29-08-2019 18:12

For the tournament, I'd spread money between Juve and Atleti for this season's title.

Atletico have the X factor and very unpredictable.

Tricky for Atalanta for sure, but as debutants in the 4th pot, it was always going to be tricky. I just didn't want them to end up in a group with 2 huge, daunting teams, and they avoided that.

joyrider 29-08-2019 18:46

Seems like Atalanta have a bigger chance to go through than merda.

Liverpool are favourite again.

Pingu 29-08-2019 18:52

Out of the teams expected to go far, I'd want Atleti to win. I like them as a team.

vB9 29-08-2019 18:56

Messi

necromancer 29-08-2019 19:04

Man the Cantona speech was insane.

Polotelli 29-08-2019 19:22

I can easily see none of them finishing first place

Ladri & Napoli shouldn’t have an excuse
Merda & Atalanta have possibilities as well, but based on prior seasons I can see them fail

fray 29-08-2019 19:54

For me, Barcelona have already secured 1st place in Group F. Now it is down to Inter and BVB for the second place.

Anyway, i hope Inter get Dortmund or Barcelona away in the 1st group game. That game would be 3-4 days before the derby.

ZBoban 30-08-2019 00:48

Early favourites for me are Liverpool of course, Juve and City. If they stay injury free I really think Liverpool will repeat.

Juve??????

No man.

Dark horses but not favorites

9pm
napoli-liver
bvb-barca

hmm what to choose? :/

fray 17-09-2019 11:11

Napoli L'pool should be a great one.

Goodfella 17-09-2019 18:10

The red side of the 2nd tier looks empty at San Siro.

Are Inter fans boycotting due to the ticket prices?

fray 17-09-2019 19:06

Slavia Praha really impressed in the 1st half.

Expecting Inter to break the deadlock those last 45 minutes.

fray 17-09-2019 19:16

Oh.

necromancer 17-09-2019 19:23

They are switching to the 3-4-3 now to save the game..

Conte doing the most to save face. His European record will look even more grim if the result stands as it is.

Goodfella 17-09-2019 19:31

Same old Inter

Qaas 17-09-2019 19:36

Wait they are behind 1-0 AT HOME?? [emoji23][emoji23]

Yup.. Now Barella shooting all over the place trying to be the hero. A Conte team without discipline is a really ugly thing to watch.

Lukaku has been off-colour again.

From what I've seen in Serie A, they looked great against Lecce, but their last two games have only look quality for a few moments and the rest pretty meh yet still grinta'ing 3 points every game. Not that we can speak, Milan have looked Serie B level. :/

IL Diavolo 3 17-09-2019 19:44

Barella

Pingu 17-09-2019 19:44

+8 mins injury time.. Just picturing Conte's stupid smile running up and down as they score in the last minute due to some stupid mistake :fp:

Edit: fuck I jinxed it...........

necromancer 17-09-2019 19:44

1-1. Sensi freekick hits crossbar, Barella volleys from the rebound.

Besides the Lecce game, it has largely been Sensi carrying them.. again, he has done exactly that.

A draw is still a bad result here.

Totally agree on both points. Sensi has looked fantastic as he did for Italy NT. Still really sad we didn't get him. Bennacer has looked great for us, and hope he actually gets consistent starts to be as influential for us as Sensi is for Inter.

IL Diavolo 3 17-09-2019 19:48

Lol @ lukaku

necromancer 17-09-2019 19:48

Now Sensi with a perfect cross, and Lukaku heads it bang on target but great save!

Pingu 17-09-2019 19:50

Very great save, Donnarumma like reflexes there.

necromancer 17-09-2019 19:50

Both teams disappointed.

Yep, Prague largely the better team and would've been a great victory for them. Inter getting 1 pt in a group with Barca/Dortmund needing 6pts from Prague to get through likely.

Let's just hope this stings them for the weekend derby.

IL Diavolo 3 17-09-2019 20:01

Conte will struggle when teams play on the front foot.

Ronin 17-09-2019 20:07

I can expect Conte to win the league, but he'll surely fail in Europe. That's his DNA
