He actually played well, hopefully he can keep playing like that. Maybe a midfield 3 with Kessie-Montolivo-Biglia would work nicely.

You missed the Lazio game?

How do you see us lining up the midfield?

IMO Biglia is not good enough defensively to take care of a 2 man midfield. Too much space to cover and he is not smart enough. Montolivo really showed Sunday night what a master he is at positioning, he didn't put a foot wrong. You can really see the difference there between him and biglia. Biglia has been poor in that aspect thus season.

I am very glad our Montoleader got his chance again, for me he is better than that Argentine FRAUD Biglia.

He may not have the captain band, but he is still the eternal capitano of my heart.

You missed the Lazio game?

One game and Montolivo played more on the left side of the midfield, perhaps Montolivo plays as the anchor and it can work.

I think that midfield would be too static. For now, with Montolivo playing well we can let Biglia rest and hopefully he can regain his form.

What we really need is another box-to-box midfielder.

Excellent match. He's finally looking fit and motivated. Should be a starter.

His range of passing in the second half was fantastic.
Very good game, keep it up.

Who cares? He's not your bloody girlfriend. He's playing well RIGHT NOW so credit where it's due. Montella is rightfully starting players based on form rather than name.

Have to give him credit here. Played pretty good, better than Biglia.

yes, without him the team couldn't play against Benevento

Pretty much. He got subbed off at 2-1...

After that romagnoli gets red card and rest is history. :fp:

will never understand the idea behind bringing in biglia and subbing Monty.

If he wanted to defend the 2-1 lead most logical thing would be strengthen the midfield...
