Don't understand why they all have Thiago as young player of the year. With the Fabregas signing, isn't he something like 5th in line for a midfield spot? Copa del rey hero

The title will go to the wire this time, probably decided by 3 points [most likely the Nou Camp El Classico] because both will crush the other teams in the league.

Could see couple of surprises here and there but the problem is that even the benches and squad depth of both RM and Barca come out to be better in quality than the rest of the league bar few players from Valencia, Atletico and Malaga.

The battle for third and fourth place will be nice, Bielsa's Bilbao challenging Valencia, Malaga, Atleti and Villarreal.

I'm afraid it was some Spanish newspaper, but not sure. And I believe it was before the last game in Spanish supercopa ... Rings any bell?

Fabregas wouldnt qualify for young player award. He's 24.

Lass said a couple of days ago that he is not going to Tottenham. I'm a Madrid player and Mourinho is my coach. Although he will probably go, hes been sidelined from the team just as Gago.

As for Sahin, his skillset makes him the missing link at Madrid. Hes actually the perfect player that can complement Xabi Alonso and Khedira. But this injury thing is a worry, to me the entire thing resembles the beginning of Ronaldo's last season with Milan, a seemingly benign injury that gets prolonged for months, with continuous setbacks, missing deadlines, lack of transparency etc. Some people are already calling him Woodgate v.2, which is a bit far fetched, but it doesnt look good. My guess is that many people put him as a possible flop is not because of his quality, but because of his inability to stay fit. Kinda like the reason why Kaka was a flop at Madrid.

Well, Sahin hasnt had any past injury problems that I remember. He was pretty fit at Dortmund for the last two season, playing 94 percent [09/10] and 84 percent [10/11] but that left knee is truly a worry, he sprained it again.

It looks like Nuri can't make his debut. Just when he looked ready to keep working with the team, he sprained his left knee again.

Jose Mourinho just confirmed this new injury in his press conference, but he has not given a timetable for his recovery. I expect he will be out for another month and a half, maybe even two months [Gabe's Update, 11:08AM EST: I'm hearing 3-4 weeks right now].
