Not sure Kalinic will ever score like Toni but it's a good comparison in playing style. And that's why I would be fine with him in Milan. Toni late in his career played a classic pivot role masterfully.
And Kalinic does it very well too.

IMO it's a striker with this kind of habilities we should be looking for if we can't get a star. We got a lot of skilled players in the attack already - Suso, Silva, Bonaventura, Hakan... We need to make it functional and a player who does the "dirty work" in the attack (get at the end of long balls, battle the CBs, win aerial balls, join the build, etc) for them would be very useful.

He also hasn't really found his position yet, his true calling. He has the tools to be a creative player just like him.

Even if Kovacic doesn't become world class - if he were available for like 25-30 mil, I think that's a very good transfer.
