New signature rules

Question: I don't think I'm allowed to have a signature. I tried looking in the faqs section as to why I don't have that option but couldn't find any answers..

You need 125 posts (wich you've got) and you need to be registered for at least 3 months to be allowed to use a signature.

Goddammit. It gives me 320x320 when it's supposed to give me 320x240. What now? Croppig it below the arms seems too bad and I can only crop at MSpaint(cause I'm skilled like that). Suggestions?

Its all online. You can crop and custom resize. Its really easy!!

Is size limit possible?

Because if they're within 350x250 and have a reasonable number of frames (<15), they're not too much bigger than a normal picture.

True. Can't limit in any way though other than excluding all photos from sigs.

I think it's best if everyone can choose for their own - like it is for now.

But I would agree to ban gifs as they're too distracting.

And ofcourse if the issue is due to server size then it's not a matter of opinion rather than the sources ...

One other solution would be to disallow photos in sigs over a certain size, say 50 KB.

But does it affect the users even if they turn off the sigs/pictures?

If they turn off sigs from CP of course not. But maybe they're at work and can't log in, lurkers, etc.

tbh since there's already size restrictions, I think normal pics are fine, and you can always turn them off anyway....

but maybe GIFS could go?

Hmm ... could we turn off sigs by default on the forum(for visitors)? And then by choice people can turn them on from CP.

Gifs should go, pics should stay at a decent size. The mods can just enforce the rule. Don't see where the problem is.
