Are you serious? We can't just renovate the ground, it's not even ours.

Inter to get a new stadium

There's a pre-agreement between Inter and Mabetex about building a new stadium until 2017.

There are 2 general models followed (Allianz Arena from the outside and the Emirates Stadium inside), but after today there is a third model followed: The Friends Arena from Stockholm. Moratti is in talks with AIK President Johan Stromberg about their stadium.

Scheduled to be ready 2017.

Good News for Inter.

But will Moratti finally pull the plugs and stop delaying since 2007?

Plans for a new stadium, the city council and the club are still negotiating. It will cost 150 million euros and will have 30 000 seats.

SALERNITANA CALCIO 1919

Plans for the complete restructuration of the stadium. Negotiations are still going between the city council and the club. It will have 40 000 seats.

150m stadium for Venezia, who belongs to Lega Pro 2? That's 30m more than what Juventus Stadium cost.

40,000 seat stadium for Salernitana, another Lega Pro 2 club?

Stadium law abandoned
By Football Italia staff

Federation President Giancarlo Abete warns the long-awaited law to help clubs build their own stadiums “will, save for miracles, remain just a proposal.”

The only club in Serie A with its own stadium is Juventus, as the others rent arenas from the local council on match day.

A law was put forward to aid the clubs who want to follow in Juve’s footsteps, but it became mired in red tape and has not even gone to a vote.

“Save for miracles, it will remain just a proposal,” confessed FIGC President Abete.

“It is a typical Italian story. New structures are needed, but if the law doesn’t go through then we have to forget about it.”

Among the clubs who have drawn up plans for their own stadium are Roma, Lazio, Inter, Palermo, Siena and Napoli.

Shitalia....

Northern, central and southern Italy are all fucking it up for each other. The country needs some huge changes. Might be too late now though.

So far Inter, Roma and Viola are getting new stadiums, right?
I hears something about Palermo too.
Udinese will reduce the capacity and renew theirs this summer.

Pallotta: 'New Roma stadium soon'

Roma President James Pallotta said a stadium announcement will be made soon, while selling Erik Lamela and Marquinhos was a good deal.

The Boston-based patron spoke at a panel for the Bloomberg Link Sports Business Summit in New York.

“We made an effort to strengthen a couple positions, but also get some veterans. Last year we bought a 17 year old player from Brazil for $3m and we sold him to PSG for $30m-something one year later and ploughed that back into three or four players including (Kevin) Strootman who is the captain of the Dutch team, for much less money.

“While Tottenham sold their player for €100m, then we sold a player named Lamela who is 21 years old for €35m the other day.”

Pallotta also confirmed work on building a new stadium for the Giallorossi is progressing very well.

“We have been working for 18 months in building our stadium in Rome. We currently play in the Olympic Stadium which was built in the early 60s.

“It’s 80,000 people at the end of the day and you’re not on the pitch because you have a track around it, so it’s not the best fan experience.

“We’re about to build a new stadium with 60,000 people in three years, we’ll have some big announcements in the next couple of months, Nike will build a superstore, we’ll build a Hall of Fame. The cost? I don’t want to say it…”

Pallotta: 'New Roma stadium soon'

Roma talks over new stadium

Roma officials, including President James Pallotta, met with the city’s mayor on Monday to discuss the club’s proposed new stadium.

The Giallorossi are hoping to construct a new 50,000+ arena in the city and held talks with mayor Ignazio Marino and other interested parties today.

“We are grateful to Mayor Marino for agreeing to the meeting and welcoming us to City Hall,” said American businessman Pallotta.

“Our planning continues and we found the Mayor’s and Assessors’ input, suggestions and comments invaluable.

“We want to thank them for their time and look forward to continuing our efforts with a great spirit of partnership with the city on this project.”

Roma currently share the Stadio Olimpico in the capital with city rivals Lazio.

im really excited to see romas new stadium which will be presented next week. no doubt that will be amazing. im also really really keen to see catanias project.

its been a long running joke that every serie a team has a stadium plan but it seems like its really happening now.

I will belive it when the building of the stadium actually talks. We had numerous deals in the past and the Berlusconi pulled off at the last minute because his dirt cheap and senile.

New stadium and ownership change at Cagliari?

We're already after the first meeting between Cagliari mayor Massimo Zedda and Luca Silvestrone. The latter represents a mysterious group of American investors interested in taking over at Cagliari Calcio.

The meeting was devoted to a potential new stadium in Sant'Elia, where the current ground stands. Investors want to make sure they can build a football arena before taking over.

Stadium issues were a huge issue for Cagliari in recent years and were the main thing holding back the club's plans. Stadio Sant'Elia is too big and severely outdated, not fit as a long-term home.

Meanwhile the temporary tubular stadium in Is Arenas was demolished last year. Securing the stadium future for Cagliari should be the most important step before changing ownership.

Information about the Sardinian side going for sale surfaced in January, when current owner Massimo Cellino announced he wants to take over at Leeds United.
