I prefer to keep him 1 more season and rebuild our squad from behind. Deu - Bacca - Suso are good enough for us next season. We can recall Niang and use him as back up, or sell him and buy Keita.
After that we can buy Belotti, he wont leave this year anyways.

I like this idea.

The problem with Bacca this season is that apart from like 7 games he has been disastrous. Like, genuinely messing up our own play bad.

There's a reason that people seem to like Lapadula more than him despite him scoring far fewer goals.

the problem with bacca is that he's a fisherman and not a professional football player who should be playing for ac milan. last game it felt like he was a little kid in one of those volleyball games in a resort in mexico where when they screw up their serve everyone says "happy hour" and gives them one more chance. everytime bacca misses i feel like he gets another happy hour to fuck up again. i never have hated an ac milan player so much in my life.

It is funny how those who support him endlessly bring up his goals in the past and ignore him being the worst player in every facet bar speed and finishing since Bukkake Traore.

Ok if we were or are getting:
Aubameyang
Agüero
Lewandowski
Ibrahim Ba
Rashford
Lukaku
Griezman

....Then sure, I'd go for the upgrade. ....Maybe even getting Belotti and hope Capello was right. But if it's not for any of the above or some hotshot kid talent then I'm fine keeping him

Saying that a striker's only graces are scoring a lot of goals, speed and finishing is a bit like saying "all this porn star has going for him is a massive erect dick and fucking like a horse on crack"

Sure there are other things that matter but he's getting the fucking job done :D

It's bizarre how someone who loves Ronaldo can rate Bacca in his current season form.

Sadly for the haters he's doing well also this season:
5 goals and 1 assist in the last 5 games, 1 goal every 142 mins in Serie A, 1 game 1 goal in Coppa Italia (against Juve)

Explains why you still rate bacca and would want him to be a starter next season too

Our #1 priority is actual quality in midfield.
Juve had Matri looking decent because the supply from midfield was excellent.

Surely with genuinely quality players in the middle, we can get even more out of him as long as he takes care of himself speed and fitness-wise.

He's still going to waste opportunities but then again so so many actual world class strikers.

If we can't, for whatever reason upgrade the MF to the point of getting an isco/James Rodriguez etc to play CAM or ss....And we can't get a great CM like Alcantra then our next option would be to get an overall better striker like Aubameyang, Lukaku etc...Who wouldn't create more chances for themselves and be less wasteful -not necessarily with finishing- but less fuckups in the final third.

Otherwise, yes I'm perfectly fine with him as our striker and an upgrade either in midfield or defence.

If we got a slasher like Costa, Reus or Griezman to partner Bacca, I could see him scoring 30 or more in a season. Granted, they wouldn't be pretty goals like a Suarez or a Benzema type goal...But who gives a fuck?

Agree with leaf. Sell if we are able to get a better younger prospect.

yus.

we've needed quality mids for how long now?

sosa, kuco, pasalic, mati, bonaventura, wont cut it....maybe kuco and bonaventura on a good day. pasalic and locatelli needs more time.

for sure i'd like someone who can finish goals and stuff. bacca vs palermo was a disappointing show from him....but midfield needs fixing first. this is where montella gets the most out of his game. it starts at the back yea. but the mid is important.

I'm sort of indifferent when it comes to bacca. On one hand, Milan has conceded the joint third least goals, and our midfield is a little better than we get credit for. Beginning of the season it was awful, but our midfield has grown to the point where we've been able to consistently get the ball into the final third, and dominate possession against the best teams in the league. Then you look at our goals scored, and from that perspective, it's not the midfield or defense holding back this team. It's the attack, and we do clearly lack consistent goalscorers. It does make you think that with a consistent forward or two, Milan would be a couple spots higher in the table.

At the same time, I don't think bacca is a good fit for the current team. Last year Milan was more direct, and he fit better. And I also do think that if Milan improves the team the way we will try to do this summer, bacca will get better looks and won't have to deal with as many balls from wide areas. I don't see the point in debating his quality, he's obviously proved he can score goals in multiple leagues and had a good year last season.

My biggest problem with him hasn't been his wastefulness(even though he was deadly last season), but his complete lack of aerial ability. Apart from his goal this week, he just doesn't score or win the ball in the air enough. For a player that gets open so easily, he has no excuse to not be at least better at that part of the game. With Suso and some others, it's been clear all year we need someone to take advantages of the great crossing we have sometimes.

Another thing to consider for transfers in general though is that attack is by far the easiest area for Milan to grab a great player. Truth great mids and defenders don't change teams very often, and they don't leave the biggest clubs. I find it very hard to believe a midfielder with a value of 50ish mil or more would join Milan right now. Which means our midfield splashes for now will mostly be restricted to upcoming talents(kessie types) or just plain good players(badelj). But we could splash big on a striker or attacker. I really really want to grab bernardeschi, even if we keep deu and Suso, but Milan does have a legit shot at picking up a high profile forward. More so than a mid or defender for sure. So there's for sure a chance the Chinese will be looking to upgrade bacca.

Level is dropping so drastically it isn't funny. Marcio Amoroso level striker now.
