I wouldn't say terrible.

His attitude is not good, body language either. But he's trying to make plays, trying to influence the game. His final product might not be there a lot, but at least he is trying and involved.

Messi looked flat out rejected and disinterested at times.

I take the stacked brazil team playing with him into consideration, I expected neymar to top scorer by now. not diving and whining for 180 minutes.

Agreed.

He does sulk a lot.

And regarding Argentina, I am really rooting for Nigeria and hoping Argentina somehow still advances. Just would be a shame to not see Messi at least make it to knock outs.
