Also Anvil! The Story of Anvil is awesome.

It follows this heavy band who used to tour with Metallica and the likes back in the 80's, but never really got anywhere. They're still out there though, trying to make it big. Such a good film

Watched this cause of this thread. Really amazing film

Thanks for it

It's a great film it really is. Another awesome documentaries I just remembered is the King of Kong... this movie is just fantastic. It follows the two best Donkey Kong players in the world, getting ready for the ultimate matchup

If you got an hour and a half watch this, it's a great film

In 1982 Donkey Kong and Mario was the same game?
:D
Looks very interesting, I'm gonna look for it.

BTW, this reminded me of a documentary on the subject, Second Skin, about World of Warcraft players, some guys with serious addiction to the game (it shows a kind of "clinic" to rehab gamers ), people who use the game to socialize, the industry around the game (people pay tons of money for itens in the game) and all that. Very interesting. For me it was kinda shocking also

Edit: The documentary is avaliable in youtube if someone is interested:

It was really great because of the entertainment and the backstory. I think it was even on par with a ordinary movie synopsis. IIRC. After watching I reserached the trivia and in it was said that they made the mullet guy look worse than he was. And the other dude got along with him very well. So it was a bit overdramatized but you could sense it's not entirely serious, nevertheless an interesting story everyone can relate to.

Football addicts should also watch - 'Les Arbitres':

And 'Referee':

Both open perspectives to the game many fans choose to ignore. (yes, I have mentioned both of these before)

One conspiracy that is actually 100% proven.

How companies make their products(ipod, printers, lightbulb, stockings) deliberately shit so they'd have the cash flow rather than making a product that lasts for long time or is at least reparable.

Oh, it's much more than simply good.

ok then very, very, very good.

some documentary's I would recommend all available on torrents/filehosts

man on wire
paradise lost trilogy (the 3rd part has came out recently)
bbc blue planet (anything by the bbc)
bbc iran and the west

vice tv/mag have some excellent docs available on there website
vice guide to Liberia, is a must watch.

louis theroux is also worth checking out.

anything by adam curtis. in my opinion the best documentary maker on the planet.

some of his docs

The Mayfair Set
The Power of Nightmares
The Century of The Self
The Trap — What Happened to our Dream of Freedom
All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace
Every Day Is Like Sunday

(most of his docs are trilogy, I've only supplied the name of the set)

he also has a good active blog that you could literally spend hours reading/watching. I have.

I'll try to post links later if I get time.
