Please tell me that you didn't watched that so called highlight video and afterwards compared this guy to Gattuso. When I say limited I'm not only talking about technical stuff, maybe that wasn't clear. How many times Gattuso lost the ball while trying some fancy long passes or trying to dribble trough a whole team at once? Never, because he was one of the smartest players ever and knew his role perfectly. Also the last time we won the CL has been over 10 years ago and a lot has changed in football.

gattuso wanted a winger, a one who can play both as RW nad LW so he can replace both hakan and suso everytime someone is underperforming or injured, fixed LW was never the goal
and what's better to bring a winger than from a team that already wants a player from your squad, especially with FFP
TL;DR: Castellijo makes extreme sense
