Not its not . The gk starting for brazil at the moment is rafael not gabriel . Gabriel is younger .

We wanted Rafael (the GK from the USA game) but couldnt agree on a price with Santos so we moved for Gabriel, an U21 GK who hasnt played for senior NT yet and also didnt break into first team at his club.

I have no clue about his quality and not even sure if we will see him play or he will just be sold off for profit or used as a bargaining chip which has been our MO lately.

most likely to happen..altho i wouldn't put it past our management to wanna hold on to him and hope he becomes something..

so you think that he will be one of the top 6 most expensive keepers of all time?

keepers are usually cheap when it comes to transfers. Skekelenberger only cost Roma 7 mil and that was while he was in his prime and right after he had a good WC where his team made it to the finals

Stekelenberg cost 7m because he was on the last year of his contract and plus Ajax are notoriously cheap sellers. Do your research...

here is one rumor-

Rafael is good but hasnt shown anything in Europe, so I highly doubt he will end up being as expensive as you think.

If Binho goes to Santos we should be able to work him in as part of the deal, and hell, we could loan them Gabriel too

I don't really rate Rafael. He does way too many mistakes for my liking. One can argue he is still young or whatever... GK is not a position to play around.

Why is Mano coaching the Olympic team as well? Shouldnt the U-23 coach be in charge? Or is Mano handling youth teams as well?

I think because if he wins the gold, he will be the coach for Brazil in the wc; otherwise, his job could be in jeopardy before the wc.

I hope Gabriel will be always chosen above Amelia to get the needed experience.

Apparently his idol is Júlio César. Hey, we are linked with him. Maybe there is this idea to have JC tutoring Gabriel. Have them each other be our first and second goalkeeper sounds not like a bad idea.

I really don't like Amelia, makes so many mistakes. 2nd goalkeeper unworthy, and has no future.
