Super game.
His accurate crosses are so consistent.

In my view he's not pulling his weight yet. He can do so much more. In a 3-5-2 and without Conti, we are very dependent on him.

I knew he was slow in FIFA 18, but to be real slow in real life is a curse, especially when you're playing as Wingback.

He was actually having a good match prior to that fault.

Not really. He has been poor in the last few matches. He seems on and off in terms of focus always.

Didn't play that bad at all to be honest and that was NOT a penalty. Icardi fooled the ref simple as that.

It wasnt Icardi

And players should know by now that if you put your hands around a player you most likely are going to give up a penalty.

He was OK but shouldnt be played at CB and his lack of pace hurts us with most of our CB's alos being slow.

It was a clear penalty.

Most players do get away with that but those are the ones that have experience in the dark arts. What you need to do is grab and throw a player down before the ball comes anywhere near him so the referee won't see. What Rodriguez did was wait until the ball was headed towards D'Ambrosio and then dragged him from behind. He didn't even get in front of him to hold his jersey but waited until D'Ambrosio was ahead of him.

Amateur mistake.

this..

i dont get why People keep shitting on RicRod for this even though he played well for almost the full match.

While we have a player like bonucci who did next to nothing all game long. oh the last 3 games as well..

Im not sure he is wingback material, but he is a good left back, decent defnsively and a great crosser.

I wouldn't say he played well for almost the full match. He was easily beaten for Inter's first goal, and was painfully slow on it.

Ok as fullback.
Lacks athleticism for wingback.

fullback is the one with 4 defenders formation?

and wingback the wing midfielder in a 3-5-2?

I actually think he s better in 3-5-2 than 4-man defense.
he s better going forward than defending. he needs more help on defense from romagnoli who;s not doing much..

He suffers as much as the team does from Montellas inability of forming a team and developing at least the idea of a gameplan. Amongst many poor performers he's been one of the less poor performer if you ask me.

Very good game by RR, some very nice crosses from back there, solid and calm (as I know him). Liked him very much, way better than Roma did on that position.

Funnily enough, Roma in the center of those back three did way better than Bonucci. Now I'm wondering how they will do against Juve. Another solid game like this and it will be difficult for Bonucci to regain his starting spot.

i'm starting to understand why wolfsburg coach played him as CB in a 3 man defence

he lacks the pace to play LM in a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3, but his defending skills and his technique makes him valuable for that position

yeah indeed his long balls were pretty neat (I remember that one in the 1st half, almost over the whole pitch to Calabria, perfectly on his feet). Very intelligent interpretation of the game, in BL his lack of pace was never an issue, but since Serie A teams are very well organized pace is important to beat the opponent. Playing LCB in a 3-man backline suits him - at least in Serie A - better I think.

more suited as lcb or lb than a wing back.
