What do you all think of Gretna, they rock...5 promotions 5 years or smth like that?
Personally I really dislike Gretna. They sum up everything that is wrong about football and Scottish football in particular. That is that success up to a certain level can easily be bought. The money that is being spent CANNOT be sustained long term. They get crowds of around 1500 and are paying salaries higher than many SPL clubs. Also I think its maybe 3 promotions in three years. When they entered the leage initially they were voted in and did not win the right to play on the park.Glad to see them get pumped today even tho i hate Dundee.

On a slightly lower level yes. There were 1556 at the game today for what was a BIG game and Dundee would bring at least 500 fans.
Welcome to the SPL thread. It had become a two man debate with me and RossoneriScot.

Happy with a Killie win.Not a great game but defo the better team won.
Hope you get a result against the huns tomorrow.BTW we have just about set up a Brigate Rossenere UK which you must become part of.Probably about 20 quid per year which give access to tickets etc.I will let you know more when the info is available.

HIBS 2-1 Huns

thanks

played them off the park for large parts of the game with ferguson getting shown up for the distinctly average player that he is. Brown, Thomson and Stewart were superb with Killen getting two good headers.

There have been talks for a while about putting them both down south but at the moment it looks highly unlikely.

That Freeland is a complete tosser.

Its hard to describe the ineptness on saturday - although we weren't at our best the referee made it impossible for us to do so.
Theres so many things he got wrong so I wont mention them, he shouldnt be allowed to referee again.

What role did the fourth official(John Mckendrick) play in the fiasco on Saturday?Cos I know him and hes a first class FUD! His brother on the other hand is a top guy!

The fourt official did alright actually - he reminded Freeland that O'Donnel had already been booked  well that was after the fans and Murphy had told the fourth official ofcourse

Brown was sent off for refusing to shake the referee's hand  although it wasn't on the pitch where he was sent off it was actually in the tunnel where the fans couldnt see it!

Thomson was booked becuase he complained that Cregg went unpunished for two-footing Brown  and he got his second yellow for making no contact with O'Donnel and he then made a delayed dive and roll.

Not to mention the stonewall penalty that was refused when zemamma was halfed, or the 5 or 6 blatant barges/shirt pulling that happened to Fletcher. Or the barges on Shiels that went unpunished.
