In terms of insanity gattuso still has the edge but flamini is easily the better player if he stops picking up yellow cards he could force his way into the team, that is a point is the suspended for the next game?

He did well today although that tackle for his yellow was a shocker.

Him and Pirlo seem to have a good understanding, keep it that way Leo.

Flamini can easily endear himself with the Milan faithful with his attitude and dedication. Now ... all he needs to do is work on is his positional awareness and passing. He gave away 2-3 balls relatively poorly, and failed to impose himself in the center for periods of the first half IMO (especially after Napoli's goal).

Other than that, another good performance.

Pirlo plays very well when Flamini is out there with him, just like he used to when Gattuso was at the top of his game. Leo, take note!

+1. Matthew "Mad Dog" Flamini, the fans will grow to love him. and he's a midfielder for us who is only 26, this is clearly a positive

Well obviously he didnt play well in all departments but thats to be expected since he NEVER plays.

After this match i hope for either:

flam-perlo-ambro

or

flam-dorf-ambro.

Pirlo + dorf is a NO NO. But i bet Leo is gonna go with ambro-dorf-pirlo the next match, just to be sure it sucks:rolleyes:

Anyway Im glad he already completely forgot about arsenal. Tackling like he really wants to brake bones in more parts tells he hasnt watched a arsenal match in years:cool:. Well either that or legs dangling like tails doesnt bother him.

Whoever helps make Milan untouchable
Flamini- 7.5: The ex-Arsenal man did brilliantly, allowing Seedorf and Pirlo to roam free in attack. Singlehandedly tipped the midfield battle in his side's favour for the duration of the match.

All those arguments I used to have with the non-believers and haters (yes you Milano ) were worth it :proud:

From what we have seen today. Our best Midfield looks to be Flamini-Pirlo-Ambrosini. Flamini should never sit on that bench again.

lol :D the problem is if he keeps on getting cards, there's no way he can start every game , he'll get banned. I do hope flams can be a bit smarter in picking cards, at least not picking it before any important games.. loosing him against big clubs could cost us a lot

How on earth did he ever start in EPL??? Just did a quick check...

Only 5 yellows in 07/08 w/ arsenal in 30 starts!

And in the FAST PACED Serie A:
08/09: 22 starts, 7 sub- 9 yellows
09/10: 10 starts, 9 subs- 4 yellows

Maybe it's a combination of a lot of things. The fact that he still has to prove himself, so he tries extra hard and maybe is over aggressive sometimes, as well as playing generally with old and slow players so he has to do all of the 'dirty work'. Training with Gattuso and Ambrosini hasn't helped ease his aggression as well. ;)

He always strikes me as a passionate guy. He plays with so much heart and determination that one has to admire.

cause his collegues used to run and he never had to lunge this much to save their arse.

cesc flamini hleb all of them were excellent in keeping balls so rarely some one fucked up.

again root of all evil is our overrated old midfield.

he was benched by both carlo and leonardo for no good reasons, so every time he came to play he need to giuve 150% which means some insanity, only this guy has to fight for his starting line up.

I agree! Flams has to work mar harder in our midfield to compensate for those that dont tackle. In Epl not tackling no matter who it is not acceptable, so everybody pretty much pulls their own weight.

He was good last night and made a crucial tackle in our penalty area and saved a clear goal.

Good job and keep it up!

I'm glad he is finally starting... have shown much better form than Gattuso.

But IMO flams needs to work on a couple of things if he wants to stay here and not be sold. His first touch and passing could be much better.

After every game he plays I love him even more. That guy is incredible, always fights the whole game for every ball, tries everything he can, our mad dog in midfield :proud:
He has to be a starter, he's for sure many times better than Rino is now.
Only thing he has to learn, don't get too many cards :D
But besides the cards he's getting, I'm fine with him and would like to have him as starter next to Ambro and Pirlo, that would be our best midfield for now. Rino can from time to time be a sub for Flams, so that he can save some energy. He always fights so much in every game, so it's clear that sometimes a rest would be great for him.

i always liked Flamini and am not just jumping on the 'start Flams from now on band wagon" i could never understand from the start of this season how he hasnt been given a sniff of a chance, and how on earth gattuso got playin so many games ahead of him!! i was almost sure Flams would leave durin the january transfer window.. even one moring on my way to work a Dublin radio station said as part of their sports news that Flamini had left Milan and was signed by man city!! i nearly crashed the car ffs!! duno what the idiots in the radio station were at or where they got the info but fro a half an hour i believed he was gone from us.
