MB is an old spirit, he doesn’t understand the greatness of Mario

Yeah excuse me for wanting players who'll give their all for the shirt.

*Unrealized greatness

He ended up having a similar career to Cassano.

nahh, with greatness he means a player who'll upload an insta story during game... shows where his head's at.

I've said it before, Mario's level of talent is very overrated. He ended up exactly where he was supposed to.

I think he was blessed with exceptional talent as well as physical attributes that could have led him to be a 20 goal, 10 assist player consistently. There was a time when he was near the top in Europe as a PK and free kick taker. He's 6'2, strong, and had decent speed.

But he never put in the type of effort to become that player. Physically and talent wise, he was exceptional. His attitude and work ethic precluded him from becoming great.

To be fair, there are hundreds of guys like that throughout multiple sports. Physical/natural talent is one thing, the great ones also have the mental fortitude to become great. Balotelli never had that.

In terms of potential, Balo could've been a more successful Lukaku, but, as MB has said - he's there where he's supposed to be.

Balo has his strengths and weaknesses. Even if he and the whole team has a bad day, he can still decide the game in just one moment by himself. He might not fit in your fantasy football, but Balo most definitely has great qualities.

It's not worth the 6 or 7 matches out of 10 where he wanders around the pitch aimlessly like he doesn't want to be there. It's easy to remember the moments of brilliance, which he is fully capable of creating, but it's not as easy to recall how god awful he can be for long stretches.

Yeah is not doing bad, maybe he can have a decent late career ala Luca Toni.

Ligue 1 is a farmer's league.

Ligue 1 is a farmer's league.

And Serie A isn't?
Far too many world beating superstars have come from this "farmer's league" for this argument in isolation to be valid

Don't know what to say about Ligue 1, but Mario is surely a farmer

Good luck! Ufficiale to Brescia. He has come full circle and will be playing now for his local club.

Man had so much talent, such a shame.
