I've only watched a couple minutes but Zapata really seems to have grown into something very serious.

Obviously a couple of minutes can't tell but they sure strengthen those claims

I will never trust Gasperini's players at other clubs.

The biggest example of this is Bertolacci.

Ilicic is technically better than any player we have. Gasperini's teams are all about his system. It was easy to see Bertolacci was a bum.

Unfortunately it doesn't imply that.

I like Gasperini as a person a lot and Atalanta is the freshest breath of air in Serie A but rather than his tinkering alone a lot of it comes down to the length of the project and more importantly the circumstances. I.e the developed mentality within the team that came from being a smaller team that has beaten big teams and having successful European campaigns as well as the rather extraordinary CL opportunity that they've got.

Football is always at least 50% mindset
