We need to win this.

Probable XI:

Donnarumma
Calabria - Musacchio - Romagnoli - Rodriguez
Kessie - Bakayoko - Paqueta
Castillejo - Piatek - Calhanoglu

Depending on Kessies form we might see him rested with Bakayoko taking his place. Biglia will likely be ready for this one and Gattuso loves him so wouldn't be surprised to see him start at regista.

Suso might play regardless of his last performance and general form. Gattuso has a way of doing these things. It's a bit frustrating but after all Rino is doing a great job so far.

How's Romagnoli doing on yellow cards? Would be awful if he somehow managed to get suspended for the derby.

Forza!

I think we'll see Conti again, but besides that same as your 11.

They're missing Duncan which is a big blow for them. We need to score early and calm the nerves. Want the crowd on our side, not getting the players nervous if we're not winning by the 60th minute.

Why not play Conti? I can't think of any reasons. Calabria has had impressive offensive displays but they're not guaranteed. Conti is just plain dangerous.

I like the new Calabria-Laxalt and Conti-Rodriguez combo, with the latter being the stronger one. Reminds me of Stam-Serginho and Cafu-Pancaro.

Duncan out for Sassuolo is certainly a positive for us. We have no major injuries and have a point to prove offensively after the Lazio game.

60 000 expected at San Siro(!).

Don't let us down boys.

Samu and Conti must start this after their great performance on the right side against Empoli. Conti needs more starts and Castillejo has earnt his spot for the time being with Suso doing fuck all lately. Let’s keep the momentum going infront of a packed San Siro!

Agree.

Donnarumma
Conti-Musacchio-Romagnoli-Rodriguez
Kessie-Bakayoko-Paqueta
Samu-Piatek-Hakan

Pretty easy lineup, only issues are Kessie and Bakayoko's health going into this one after a rough match against Lazio.

You're totally right and let's hope so. Ready for some Conti momentum.

I am a little bit worried about this game tbh. We have some tired players after a middle week game and we also struggle against Saussolo.

Good chance to give Biglia a start, move Bakayoko to the right and rest Kessie.

The wingers pick themselves. Hakan and Samu ahead while RicRod and Conti behind.

On the contrary, it makes sense to have a physical opponent in front of Sensi. So maybe Bakayoko still in the center and Biglia can start against Chievo.

I think both Biglia and Bakayoko can handle Sensi, especially without Duncan around. I think it's too early to start Biglia, but expect him to come on earlier than he has last two games.

Definitely expect Conti and Samu to start this one too. Whenever we have two games in a week it seems like Gattuso likes to rotate his exterior players.

We need to get back to playing once a week. This team can't handle playing more than that (yet).

This team needs to prove to themselves that they are able to deliver a top season. We're still reaching for real quality, and I think many of the players think it's just a question of time before the first failure comes, and that it will multiply from there. They hope not, but they fear it which is natural after it happening six years in a row. We need to continue building confidence, three points at a time.

We destroyed them 4-1 away when we were in shitform
We're arguably atm the best team in Serie A with our form and especially defence.

San Siro, 60k people, good form, good defence. FT: Milan 6-0 Sassuolo

Sassuolo are really going through troubled times since 2019 started.. De Zerbi has started fiddling with tactics now, they tried a 3-4-2-1 last match, trying to beef up the midfield after recent defensive frailties. Since Prince left, they don't have a proper false 9 to tactically annoy the opponents. Sensi was excellent last match, but the rest of the midfield struggled, so that doesn't mean a lot.

Duncan out for them so a bit easier in the midfield battle for us.

Duncan particularly has been atrocious lately.. now I think they'll bolster the midfield with Magnanelli next to Sensi in a midfield 4. That's probably a bit more difficult than Duncan-Sensi-Locatelli.

Either way, we are quite a bit stronger and in much better form. No excuse not to get 3 pts.

Sassuolo are in a very bad form collecting 10 points in the last 10 games. 2W 4D 4L

On paper it should be an easy game but you’ll never know. Valeri will make sure all 50/50 will go their way. Any contact in the box will be a penalty for them and his bias will allow them to be extra physically against us.

Good to see Conti there, but no Samu is a  It is better for him to start rather than come on in 70th minute.
