Yes.. one of the most positive tactical changes by Gattuso has been to free up Suso. Both Kessie and Calhanoglu are often focal points of balls from the deep now. Getting players off Suso instantly increases our chance of a great final ball into the box, because Suso is still by far our best outlet for that.

And calabria. Creation of space at right has resulted in many good deliveries by suso and calabria in recent matches.

EDF said they had practiced for a week on how to stop Suso from crossing that specific ball and we still scored from such ball.

Clearly the practice didnt involve someone like Kessie taking 3 or 4 defenders away by sheer presence. Interesting thought - who in Roma would be capable of playing like Kessie in practice? Nainggolan? The guy who's in a fucked up frame of mind..

Yes him too, that's right.

Suso is worth more than 50m.

People keep complaining about him, but he still delivers. I do agree we need an alternative, for when he's off.

Our best bet would be on someone like Deulofeu or Menez, who can play both wings and brings something new (speed or dribbling). Last season it worked pretty good for us.

really need a fast pace winger on the left to share his pressure for him, bona and hakan are just clueless

All 3 of them have good and bad days, Suso being the most consistent. The problem is that there is no one to replace them.

for 70 minutes was frustratingly poor....for the next 25 minutes he was our only creative threat

Subs really unleashed his gifts. Got room and got players to cross to.

Calabria instead of Borini should have been done earlier. Borini's positioning was terrible for Suso. Kessie started showing up towards the end of the game and that helped give Suso the option to pass it to Kessie and move closer to the edge of the box or even get into the box.

The whole passing it to Suso and then giving him one of two options: dribble inside/dribble outside severely limits him.

he needed calabria

borini is predictable and easy to take out of the game offensively

So reliant on Suso, without him we'd be bottom half.

Tbh there are not many players at the receiving end. That pass with his right foot should've lead to goal, but our 2 CFs fell asleep. Hakan and Bona aren't really target men as well.

Yep, he looks gassed, tries to give his 100% in every game but it's not good enough atm.

Suso is a player who needs rotation to be good, he had the same problem last season, he just can´t handle too many games.
That´s why I always advocated for a RW over a LW in the rumor commode.

Will never be a top player then tbh.

Sell asap pls

im ok with selling him, but not asap, atleast not until end of next season, we have many other problems need to be fixed first

With a good back-up it would not be as much of an issue and even when Suso plays a bad game he is always one to pull of a strong play out of nowhere.

Not signing a winger in winter was just stupid.

Maybe you guys are overreacting and it was because he didn’t have someone (calabria) to make overlapping runs all the time

Suso asked about a possible move to England: "There is a €40M release clause and if a team with money comes, we'll have to see at season's end. At least we won't talk only about Gigio."

I hope he doesn't change his mind about moving to PL after his poor game against a PL club (Arsenal).

Yeah, he didn't had this and this. A player who can only do shit alone without the help of the team.

If he really would want to move, then he should fuck off.

I don’t think he wants to move at the moment.

Honestly hes not trying 100%. he jogs to the place hes supposed to be then does nothing.

Sell asap pls

if 50mil offer came i would accept. he can score amazing goals from time to time, but most teams have figured him out

Even if you figure him out he is still dangerous as long as he isn´t all we have in attack.
