must say I like all your thoughts here. This is a formation we can win with. I am not sure if Gourcuff is a winger, but it is better ideas than we are doing now.

I like Kaka wide left and getting the ball and cutting in to pass or shoot.

Also a quality finisher who is young such as Huntelaar is what we need. We have no depth and our players are very tired.

The more I think about it this is the formation I would like to see post January. Note we need a world class striker. For me a world class striker can take people on like Henry, or be a superb finisher like Ruud van N. I have never been a Gila fan, and for me he is neither technically gifted or a superb finisher. So we need a striker. I like Huntelaar, or Drogba (he is approaching 30). Why we did not go after Toni is beyond me...

I love the X Mas tree formation. But width is too important. While our fullbacks are too old/slow to attack the flanks for 90 minutes, we need to improvise. Kaka, Seedorf, and eventually Pato would be good at being atacking wingers, and would get more space out wide to cut in or to send crosses for Gourcuff and our striker pushing in. The only problem with Ronnie is he is not a strong header of the ball, so this formation may work with my public enemy #1 Gila as the CF and ronnie or Gourcuff playing in the hole behind him.

i dont understand why people would like to see gourcuff start... just because hes young doesnt mean he has to start infact i would say his contribution to the team so far has been as horrible as gilardino's who is finally settling in

yeah but I have watched the same predictable team the last two years in Serie A do nothing. Champions is a diff story, but week in week out... well we need a change.

This is it, the team that should bring at least 4th place in the Serie A, but with 2 - 3 new players next summer it would be a whole different story

ur missing a player and kaladze is left footed while bonera is right footed, anyway i dont think we ever play with 3 at the back

thats not the problem, the problem is that the same team is overplayed meaning they get tired... the lineup we have is the best but it lacks variation

I agree + we can play the champions league formation when we play away games in serie a . the home games must be with two attackers but it will be very dificult for Seedorf because of the various positions. It is good to have only one formation for example the one with two forwards but we must be very carefull in champions league with that .

And what happened to AMBRO?

Or all these questions are irrelevant because of your conscious choice, I mean to say that you have intentionally kept them out of the team.

he mixed up jankulovski position and gatuso position. it doesnt matter, we know where ppl should play anyway.

ambro is the worst player in milan. he only plays because andeloti is the coach.

meh, i like ambro...he offers soemthing different than rino. hairy chest thumping work ethic is good an' all but ambro's can be useful going fwd (psv eindhoven wasnt it?).

i'd like to see this:

rino and seedorf nominally line up next to each other, they go where the action is. swap either 1 for ambro as needed.

maldini is best used now in the center where his pure class makes up for any speed strength loss.

edit: i left out a player. oops. i'd ideally see 2 forwards but since everyone who can score for milan is either too young too old or too crippled, i just added gourcuff in.

We need to buy two wingers like Quaresma & or Nasri or even Ben Arfa and play a 4-4-1-1.
This way our full backs can stay home, and we can let the "wingers" do the work and use their pace up and down the flanks to give consistant crosses in to the box, or take the ball right in.

If Goucuff was a bit faster he could have taken the role. But he's like molasses out there. :D
