I recommend Suburra, both the movie and the series just released on Netflix.

It is a compelling at times incredible look at how politics, the Catholic Church, and organized crime intersect in Rome. The series is told from the perspective of three underdogs who want their piece of the city. Ostia and Rome are filmed beautifully as well.

If you liked Gomorrah, you will like Suburra. In fact, I'd say it's better, and comes with an added bonus of comprehensible Italian, if you speak the language (it is subtitled if you don't). Gomorrah was Neapolitan dialect that I didn't understand at all.
