Yes, let's call a guy average that is anything but average. Tall player that's agile and still has a good amount of technical ability - yeah totally average and usual. That and the fact that he's been constantly improving statistically from year to year - also definitely a sign that he's average and mediocre I guess.

I am not exactly sure why no one else has bought Sergej but I doubt any top team wouldn't like to have him. Maybe they're banking on him asking out and lowering the fee - I really don't know but that hardly means that he isn't quality.

What I do know is that we don't have many world class/potentially world class targets available so overpaying is part of the deal.

That's the right way to think about it. It's alright to argue that there are more economical solutions but SMS signing for us is far from being a bad thing.
