Why?
Bacca said repeatedly he wants to continue in Spain so I don't see a future for him here.
Kalinic most probably will be sold too.
Which leaves us with Higuain, Cutrone and Silva.
If we sell Silva do you think 2 attackers are enough for the whole season?
There is no way we can bring in another striker with the tight budget we have this year and with other areas that we need to reinforce.
Andre Silva has the potential to improve

I've seen this movie way too many times before, we're going to sell him at a loss and watch him become a very good player somewhere else.

Yeah i wouldn't worry about that too much.

Mind you people cry about el sharaawy coming back when he scores once every three months.

El Sha is a weird example to bring up with that... He would have been very useful for us to have last season, especially considering our lack of pace on the wing, and considering that there is an almost 0% chance that we are going to get a better player for LW for a similar price that we sold him for (13 million).

Plus for all the love that Suso gets here (much of which is earned, and it is very much worth noting how much he improved after a dry loan to Genoa after initially struggling here) last season-

El Sha- 44 games in all competitions for Roma- 9 goals
Suso- 50 games in all competitions- 8 goals.

SES benefits from the Roma team level and chemistry. Suso created his goals out of nothing

I'm not saying that isnt a factor, SES surely benefits greatly from it. But we sold SES for 13 million, which is less than we paid for him and less than he is worth, and I have trouble imagining that with his speed and ability on the LW that our entire attack wouldnt have been substantially better than it was last season.

Terrible move letting him move on Loan. Not only do we need strike force depth but the fact he is young spent one season here and is already being shuffled around is not good enough. He could have at least stayed and learnt something from Higuain.

pictures taken with higuain would have probably lost him instagram followers, so....

Do we move loaned players to the old section?

I don't like this move either.. so far leo and maldini have done well but what's happening with Silva and Locatelli is very dumb... either sell him outright for a ton of cash and use it for a player we need or just do a dry loan or keep him here for depth because this guy really could become an awesome striker. Also we have no depth up front anymore. We have higuain and cutrone now... WTF. Initially the market looked great but these locatelli and silva deals have me pissed off.. especially the locatelli deal

We can't give him regular playing time, because he's failed to capitalize on it so far and we have to focus on Cutrone now. Selling him would be the best, but no one in his sane mind will pay us the money we spent on him, so loan is the a good option, especially to La Liga and a team like Sevilla.

They will never pay 30 million to sign him outright next year. The only way we will get rid of him for good money is if he has a great year.

hmm well I was against silva leaving the club a week ago seeing that bacca doesn't seem to be willing to stay here and I believed that we need 3 strikers for the season.
I realize that with this move the club is putting more responsibility on cutrone and faith on his qualities as well.
I hope that both higuain-cutrone will stay injury free this season and cutrone to continue where he stopped last season. I have faith in him

Wish him all the best in Sevilla. Donning #69 was a troll move and I could sense his departure during the ICC.

Bacca was always going to be more useful than A Silva. Not sure if he's staying but we need at least 3 forwards and he could have a role under Rino. If I'm not mistaken, he had an issue with Montella not the club. Hope he gets his shit together and justify his 3.5 mil salary.

He might have had an issue with Montella, but let's not pretend that we didn't have an issue with him.

His attitude was horrendous.

Bye, Andre.. this will forever be remembered as the troll signing of one of our worst eras.. very appropriately representative of the Chinese ownership gimmick.

I don't think he will. I think we'll almost certainly lose money on him.. The likeliest scenario I see is him coming back after the loan next season, and us selling him to either a Malaga or a Sassuolo for around 10 million.

But each year off on loan is his salary off our books and his value depreciated in our books. I don't think there's a better way forward for us.

Shame it didn't work out between us

I think it's best for both to seperate, but his career isn't over yet

I mean it's not like we gave him many opportunities or the time to grow
