“Mandzukic has a muscle problem and he has stayed at Milanello to train during these period of international break. He does not have an automatic renewal in case of CL, Antonio Vitiello tweeted yesterday that there's no such clause in his contract. However if we do end up in CL, we have an option to extend the contract for another year

To be honest , unless he gets a bunch of goals before the season ends, I don't think it's a good idea. We already have a 40yr old Ibra, Leao is iffy. I would rather we splurge on Belotti , someone who can do it in Serie A now, even with a struggling team.
I think Mario is a solid player, but if he can't remain fit now, he is only gettiing older and I don't want him and Ibra to leave one season leaving an undeveloped Leao as our guy.

What a smart and decent move. Respect can never be given a dollar amount. I would not blame Mario for getting us knocked out of EL and haning on to the second place by a thread. There was no guarantee he would score lost of goals had he been fit. That would be dumb speculation and guessing. Injuries are bound to happen and his injury happened at the worst time. Rather blame the people who brought him here because they could have brought on another CF. Blame the one who did not sign up a ready and young wild card CF for EL.
