I agree that we're shit, but that's not why we're shit. Usual blind criticism of 'England kick run and cross lul' without actually paying attention to the game.
We're crap because we lack the players to really break a team down like that, we got a lot of success with some really good balls through the middle and kept a decent tempo. Then we concede a stupid goal and don't know how to go from there.
Infact some good ol' fashioned whack it in the box would have been better than trying to get our centre back to be Pirlo.

ali had a very poor game. Every single attack was cut down the wing and whip it in to nowhere. they need more patience and better build up play through the middle and the wingers need better end product. with kane they have a chance.

Southgate is doing a fine job, England are actually playing decent football for the first time in ages. The system takes advantage of their attacking talents. Why would they not emphasize wing play with all the pace and attacking wingbacks they have, especially when lacking in creative playmaking mids?
Just needs to sort out the horrific finishing (good luck with Sterling) and defend with more confidence, maybe put in Delphinho for the Belgium game.
