His freekick/cross for the second goal was pin point. Cavenaghi only had to flick his head. Something Pirlo hasn't done in ages. I just hope we get him back next season and that we have a more capable coach.
He needs to regain his confidence. He didn't really impress for mine during his time at Milan, baring his UCL debut, but it's hard to argue with Carlo for letting him go out on loan. It was definitely the right option for all parties.

I hope he does.

I guess one of the reasons he has impressed at Bordeaux is because he has a Kaka/Seedorf sort of role. Unlike here with us.

There was great cause for consternation in Valenciennes today after veteran central defender David Sommeil collapsed while training with his team-mates today. Immediately he was rushed to the intensive care unit of Valenciennes Hospital, where tests showed that he had suffered a heart-attack.

A statement on the club’s official website reads, “According to the medical staff of Valenciennes, David Sommeil was the victim of a mild heart attack involving a loss of consciousness. He is currently in the intensive care unit of Valenciennes Hospital.”

Sommeil has enjoyed a strong career at a number of clubs including Caen, where he played well over 100 times, Rennes, Bordeaux and Manchester City. He joined Valenciennes last summer from Sheffield United and played 19 Ligue 1 matches for Antoine Kombouaré’s side last term.

Heart conditions in professional footballers have been brought to the fore again this summer, particularly in France. A suspected heart problem led, indirectly, to French legend Lillian Thuram retiring from the game after he failed a medical when on the verge of joining PSG.

Hope he gets Better!

Gourcuff had an average game for Bordeaux on the weekend. Cavenaghi scored a penalty. not a very exciting game otherwise.

Two free-kicks and one penalty.
But actually, there was not foul, for each of them.

It's always the same with Lyon, they play at 12 against 11 cuz the referee plays for Lyon.

I think one day, we'll uncover that Lyon is cheating, like the Juventus did.

Of course not.
But it really stands out, like for Juve few days ago.

And there are a lot of business relationship between Aulas and Thiriez, that's very shady.
If you want, I have some informations about these relationships but it's all in french and it's very long, too long to translate all.

any idea how was gorcuff?

and one thing bringing beckham might open up space for gourcuff in our midfield next season if coach can find any solution

Two assists and contributed to their recovery, yet he gets a 5???

I saw the match, Gourcuff played well.

But in France, when Gourcuff is just good, we're a bit disappointed cause we use to see him better than good.

If another player does the same match, he gets a 7, but Gourcuff we know that he could do better so he got only a 5.

Gourcuff's Bordeaux not having the best of nights. Down to St. Etienne + keeper on the ground bleeding tons through his nose. Not a pretty sight. Hope he is ok :(

He's excellent so far. St. Etienne the dominant side and he has single handedly kept them in.

Wonder how much will Bordeaux ask for both of them .If we really have a clause in Gourcuff`s contract (i doubt it) we really should get them both since they have good chemistry on the field .

Including a player in a swap deal would be better..but who ?

Fuck ... since when did they get Bakari Kone? The guy will give us problems if we don't keep an eye on him.
