Tegola per Marco Borriello, attaccante del Milan: e` stato trovato positivo a un controllo antidoping dopo . Il Laboratorio di Roma ha rilevato, nel primo campione del 24enne rossonero sottoposto ad analisi, la presenza di Prednisone e Prednisolone, due corticosteroidi. Il controllo era stato effettuato l`11 novembre scorso, dopo la gara dell`11.a giornata di campionato persa a San Siro 2-1 contro la Roma. Borriello, attaccante nativo di Napoli, in questa stagione con la maglia rossonera ha collezionato tre reti, due in Coppa Italia contro il Brescia (andata degli ottavi di finale) e uno in campionato, nel 2-2 milanista in trasferta sul campo del Cagliari lo scorso 3 dicembre.

Well, there were several rumours that stated that we were going to sell him to another club, this isn't really going to help much in that department :rolleyes:

. And I'm actually worried, there might be a chance that Borriello isn't the only one doping, and to tell you the truth this is not the exact morale boosters Milan needs atm (even if it's only Borriello).

This isn't good news. The only bright side I can find in this is that we could buy someone else in January depending on how long he is banned for. I hope other people don't test positive for substances either.

he did take sum drugs (appearntly) so just wondering, was he any good? can't remember

damn...finally we get this decent striker with fighting spirit and he gets sumthn like this against him!

Milan have suffered a severe blow as striker Marco Borriello has tested positive for corticosteroids.

The player reported for a routine doping test after Week 11’s match with Roma at the San Siro, which ended with a 2-1 defeat for the Rossoneri, and the Roman lab which analyzed the sample confirmed on Thursday that he was found positive for two different corticosteroids.

His B sample is now expected to be analyzed, in order to understand if the result will be confirmed.

The incriminating substances are commonly used as antibiotics in treating inflammatory illnesses such as asthma and can be either ingested or injected.

Borriello has scored three goals so far this season, hitting a brace in the Coppa Italia match with Brescia and one goal in the Serie A tie with Cagliari on December 3.

As usual I go to yahoo.it to catch up on news + first thing I read is the article on Borriello's positive dope test. I check out my 2nd fave 'source', the newsgroup, + it's flooded with Juve + Inter trolls gloating. Damn, just when things were starting to look up, we make headlines again + for all the wrong reasons. Maybe we should consider ourselves lucky they 'only' caught Borriello, with our persisting fitness + injury probs I'm sure MilanLab was not only 'mixing up' his meds

NOPE..not for a second, this is a shock..i mean i know some footballplayers use drugs (maradona, da only one i can think of) etc but a milanplayer??
