First game in a while we go in as underdogs (against inter a draw was predicted by a lot because of their injuries), interesting to see how we react

Toughest game on par with the derby for us since the Juve game, on paper at least.

We're the kind of team that Napoli will really struggle with. They can't press us since we have the best outball in football history, and Leao, Rebic, Saelemaekers can be devastating in wide open space.

I'd say their Achilles heel are low block defenses. They looked pathetic against AZ.
They have a lot of counter-threats, but no Ibra type of player who can dominate in a crowded box. They have also been wasteful for a long time and Osimhen does not look like the striker who could fix or even reduce that problem one bit.

They outplayed us badly last time. Kessie-Bennacer got overrun.
The match tempo was way too fast for Ibra.
We were at the mercy of their finishing.
The question is how much of it was down to Paqueta who was shocking that night. He was all over the place, messing with our on and off ball structure, and also making uncharacteristic poor touches. Things improved considerably when Saelemaekers came on and replaced him on the right flank, but Napoli were also tired at that point. Ibra never really got into the game. The team only made a real push for an equalizer when he was taken off for Leao, who switched roles with Rebic.

I don't think they'll even make Top 3.
Not even Top 4 is a certainty. They dont have a dependable goalscorer.

However I consider them as faves going into this game.
They are the type of team we struggle against, and San Paolo is San Paolo even when it's empty.

Koulibaly has been a joke since Rino was appointed.
Their defense looks better without him.

Come on, little anosmia never hurt any1, Victor, Insigne, Mertens, Ruiz, & Koulibaly to miss the game.

Sure they struggle against a good low block, but who doesn't? I think once we break their press, which is their biggest weapon, we will find a LOT of space since they push up really, really high and their fullbacks aren't as good as they used to be. Lozano and Insigne don't help out and they can really get stretched in transition, which is what happened with Sassuolo.

I don't know if Saelemaekers will make it to the game but if he doesn't we might as well just play Leao on the right and destroy Mario Rui.

This game has 2-2 draw written all over it with a warm embrace between Pioli and Gennaro afterwards

1 - 3 and a bitter embrace from Gattuso, and a smug satisfied Pioli afterwards.

Since we made that pioli coffee cup gif, we hadn't got chance to use it

With Osimhen injured I wouldn't be surprised if Rino goes back to a 433 and play Mertens up front alone. Maybe keep Petagna as an option later if he needs to.

Do we have a Murelli closeup drinking an espresso? Wait, what am I saying, the Pioli one would do just fine, no one can tell the difference.

Can imagine the commentator saying something among the lines of "a huge boost for the AC Milan players having Pioli back by the sidelines after getting diagnosed with corona just last week"

Rebic for Leao and Romagnoli for Gabbia are the changes I'd make from the Verona game.

Rebic is key to get both Zlatan and Theo working effectively. Not that Leao has done a bad job playing with Zlatan, but Rebic just has this telepathic connection with Theo that Leao doesn't have.

Time for Rebic to get his season up and running. Happy Ibra got a break aswell he really needed it.

An early indication of whether the dream should be top 4 or scudetto.

Pioli clone got covid. Who's next? Let's just let Ibra be player manager and get it over with.

Daniele Bonera is now likely to be in charge as Milan coach in the Napoli game with Pioli and his vice Murelli coronavirus positive. Bonera holds the UEFA A license
