Calabria was fine tbh. Imo kessie was worst on but he was wrecked and should never have player. You know what would have stoped this from happening. A good kessie back up. That is priority no.1. we don't need a new right back or CB even imo. They would be nice. Same as RW. But we need and that is without question a CDM who plays like kessie. Baka must be brought.

They scored from screamers with no direct mistake by our defense.
On the other hand our attack was insanely ugly.
Come on man, no one in his right mind will start upgrading subs before starters.
We need a starting RW , vice Ibra & vice Kessie much more than a CD.... its so fucking obvious that am actually mad I need to explain this & am never mad.

Castillejo never convinced me. I would sell him if theres still the chance. I can also tolerate an additional year. It would be good to have Thauvin lined up as a replacement.
Colombo on loan to a relegation battling team.
I would buy an experienced CF in his late 20s. Theres always someone like that waiting for his big chance at a big club.
Tomiyasu seems like a good option for the entire backline.
I would sell Calabria if we still have the chance. Conti is better. I am happy to have Conti, Kalulu and Tomiyasu as RB options. I can also imagine Gabbia playing there.
Keep Donnaruma anyway possible

It was ugly without backup striker and shit options on RW. Defender is needed as well, ffs we played with only two available defenders.

Rio Ave defence was their strength. The failures in attack were not only because of players there. Extra time and I saw Calabria attempt 30 meters shots two times instead of passing to attack. Gabbia with many wrong headers. Even Tonali and Theo were trying some shitty long shots. Kjaer passing to Donnarumma like there was no time to hurry and Brahim Diaz trying to show how well he can keep the ball.
We played terrible in general and not only the players in attack. I agree that we should have scored the second goal earlier, but this happens when you start with Maldini as CF, more or less with 10 players.

I'm not confident about Leao at CF after this match. Colombo is inexperienced. Rebic is not a natural forward.
