I would try 4231 with Olmo. For now, Leao can cover LW spot till we find new winger next summer.
442 is decent option but only if we buy CDM. Btw, we can rotate several formation, it's good to have backup options based on other team and tactic.
Maybe we can't expect miracles from Olmo right now but he can use these 6 months to adapt to italian football.
But generally, I expect much from him. He might be coming from croatian league but he already shown his value against way bigger clubs in EL/CL and U21 NT team so I'm optimistic about him and that he'll success in top 5 league.

Olmo has a real chance to become one of the best players in the league pretty quickly. Do not underestimate this potential signing.
He looked impressive in the CL too, even against man city he was probably one of the only threatening players they had. Scored a fantastic goal against City as well, and of course Zagreb dismantled Atalanta in week 1(before they figured out how to play in Europe). I wouldn’t play him through the middle. Stick with 442 and throw him left wing. Nice and easy. He’d be fine there. He knows how to move too. Would be awesome to have too mobile wingers for the first time in years, especially with a two striker system now to force backbones deeper.
Also I’d love to see an Olmo Theo connection on the left. Teams would have to gameplan just to stop the left side alone.

For the midfield I'd go for Emre Can to play next to Bennacer. He isn't playing at Juve, maybe try and get him on a loan plus option deal. Same goes for Vecino at Inter with the same formula. They'll need to make a signing in that area. It's practically just Bennacer, Kessie and Krunic with Biglia basically out of the plans and always hurt. If one of Bennacer, Kessie or Krunic get suspended or hurt, you're screwed.
