Leaves some decent depth of samu, cutrone, laxalt, biglia, bakayoko, calabria, zapata, caldara (when healthy) etc, and flexibility to move to 442 as well, in the event a pato or ibra arrives.

Not really. We play Lazio, Torino and Fiorenrina who are not easy to play against. Before othrs return apart from Romagnoli, we play Napoli at home and Roma away. If we want to be in top 4, we have to win these games. Injuries are not helping.

Milan interested in Chelsea defender Gary Cahill

The Corriere dello Sport claims Milan could make a January bid for Chelsea defender Gary Cahill after an injury crisis intensified.

The Rossoneri are decimated going into next weekend’s Serie A showdown with Lazio, as they are missing several key players, all of them for at least a month.

Alessio Romagnoli was the latest addition to the list, joining Mateo Musacchio, Mattia Caldara, Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura.

According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, Milan are preparing a January swoop for England international Cahill, who does not seem to have a role in Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea.

The centre-back turns 33 next month and his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

Cahill has made only six competitive appearances for Chelsea this term, with only 21 minutes in the Premier League.

Not a big fan of Cahill. A six month loan would do if there are no other options.

I can see the point of getting him in addition to another defender like Rodrigo Caio or Benatia just in case Caldara takes a while to get back to add #debth given our rate of injuries, but he is probably not going to be a cheap loan and he may not be happy trading the bench of Chelsea for the bench at San Siro. Unless his WAG wants to have a fashion sabbatical in Milan.

Cahill lmao. Signings players like that are the reason why this club started going backwards.

We should only be signing players that we think have a future here or could play some sort of long term role. No more short term fixes unless they’re top players with great mentality ala Van Bommel types or Zlatan types.
