You guys still believe there is a good formation from bunch useless players ?
Go read what Boban said and he is 100% right. Milan is the past unfortunately , we need to fire all what steps in the daily training and start over . We need players coaches and staff. We need a fresh management to bring the club back to where it is supposed to be. It's a joke nowadays to hear Milan is fighting for a Europa seat. What the fuck we need that embarrassment for ?

I think inzaghi rather than coach he should start if we want to have any chance to save our season :)

This would actually work with the players we have imo. I don't know if anyone is good enough for the trequartista role but a 3 man central mid of Bona/Monto/Kucka is ideal and having wingbacks going up an down alongside them would maintain a good balance. It's also a great formation for pressing and controlling the midfield, something we definitely need more of.

442, with a midfield rotation of two of Monto/Berto/DeJong depending on the situation. Bona left, Cerci or Kucka right. Only quick alternative now, but 352 would be nice in a perfect world, based on our players.

Our fullbacks are getting really overwhelmed very game we play, which spreads our defense and opens up space. Having men out wide in midfield will plug up those holes and we really lose is an ineffective trequartista.

Our players lack tactical awareness. They don't behave as a unit and are just all over the place. Many times during the game, gap between defense, midfield and attack is ridiculous which is also one of the reason for the panic pass by our defenders. Until we fix this problem, changing formation would do fuck all. Although, getting rid of the trequartista would do some good to create more balance but instead of changing to 3-5-2(whole new ball game which should only be tried out in pre-season) rather add DM next to Monto to share some load.

But do we have players for any formation ?

Yes we do.

4231

Bacca Luis Adriano

Antonelli Bonaventura Montolivo Kucka Abate

De Sciglio Romagnoli Zapata

Lopez

I'd take out both DES and Abate.

Move Roma to the left and put Mexes in centre, replace abate with ???? idk but whoever it is can't be as bad as him.

When I made that suggestion back in April we had some "decent" CB's... not so sure now.

People were crying for mids during the mercato, but overlooked just how bad our defence is in terms of quality and experience.

4-2-2-2

The Full Backs get space to run into, and even the Attacking Mids can drift wide, cut in or play make where they are.Instead of Inverted Wingers its kind of like Inverted AMs since we have the luxury of 3-4 semi-competent AMs.

The full backs get space to move into while the CMs play deep while defending but don't go much beyond the middle circle.

The Attack can be Bacca - Adriano/Menez/Niang/Balotelli depending on opposition. Although I would prefer Menez with alot of freedom to move but obligation of exchange passes.

I don't like the 4-3-3 one bit especially when we play against 3-4-2 or 3-5-1 teams....annoying as hell, Can't stop their flanks from cutting inside or dominating the flanks

I don't know where we are lacking in the 4-3-3 either

I am a big fan of 4-2-3-1
I'd like to see we play like Arsenal, fast and aggressive.

I think its a crime to bench Bona

So many formations but it seems that we will have to bench good players as well..it tough to choose who should play

4-3-3 (the only formation that we can play all of our good players attacking-wise)
4-3-2-1
3-4-2-1

Best formation now is 4312 no other choice
All formation with single forward doesn't fit us now. We have Kalinic, Silva, Cutrone and Suso able to play. Borini is always last last choice. So we have to at least play two forward. AM Cahanoglu LCM Bonaventura RCM Kessie DM Biglia. Currently best choice. LB Rodriguez RB Conti (now we have to play Abate) DF Musacchio Bonucci (Romagnoli as first backup.)
