What a goal. Berardi on an average day is much better than suso at his best

Who could have thought that a 3-3 could be topped.

Mental.

I'm getting annoyed that these 3-3s and 4-3s are becoming the norm in this league.

The De Ligt thing was clearly not a handball by the current rules.

Good to see after Lazio - Atalanta draw, that Torino and Roma lost points too. This game is a must win 3pts for top 4 to close the gap.

Former PSG, Genoa and Inter midfielder Thiago Motta will be appointed as the new Genoa manager.

Maybe Thiago Motta will line up with his renowned 2-7-2 formation

Clearly Lecce aren't terrible.

Drawing against Juventus is a good result.

Liverani has a very brave approach.
The way they were attacking with numbers at San Siro was very unusual to see from a side like Lecce.
They would've lost that game if they had the typical provincial approach we see when the likes of Caglari come to San Siro.

De Ligt and Skriniar have been the two most underwhelming centre backs this season.

Parma's tactical setup causing inter a lot of problems. In theory a 4312 has a lot of problems against a 352 if you're trying to play on the front foot. But it's a good shape defensively if you're ok with going 1 vs 1 on the flanks.

Against Inter you can do that as their wingbacks can be controlled by getting close to them as they aren't really going to beat you 1 vs 1. This allows them to cover the entire Inter midfield and have a spare man right infront of the defence which reduces the risk of going 2 v 2 with your centerbacks vs their strikers.

That plus both teams having runners as mezz'ala and a lack of creativity in those positions from Inter and they match up well. Most importantly, higher up the pitch they are controlling Brozovic extremely well and forcing him into mistakes. Kulusevski doing a great job on him.

In attack they're splitting their two strikers wider than usual as a starting point so they can get the ball to feet and run at the back 3, avoiding getting into duels with the Inter defenders (which Inter are really good at).

In theory a 433 with pacey wingers who attack the space left by a dropping striker is a better system against a back 3, but the strength of the inter CB's in direct physical duels and Parma's lack of a hulking centerforward makes it a much smarter ploy to avoid those duels and have Kulusevski run beyond Brozovic when they get it to occupy the space the lack of a striker forces you into.

Sarri figured this out the other day against Inter and had Ronaldo and Dybala doing the same thing. Don't duel them, drop off and wide and run at them and they are extremely vulnerable. Fun game to watch so far.

32 year old Gervinho so much better at everything and much faster than Suso. What a player.

Watching Genoa as I think Thiago Motta will do well.

They seem quite flexible tactically, and tbh, they seemingly made decent transfers in the summer, iirc.

Can never forget GP's final match also.
