Mati Fernandez injured during Chile v Bolivia. Seems like a groin muscle injury. There is talk he could be out for one month.

and the player that understands Montella's system the most. he would have been very important for September/October whilst the other players learn what Montella requires from them. He's also 31 and could've transmitted a lot of experience to the younger players and could've helped Montella instill his mentality into his players though.

Such a shame for this injury. I was really happy we signed him.
