Decided to open the match thread once again considering my record with opening match threads (however, don't crucify me if we don't win this one)

There will be an international break now, meaning that there's 12 days until the game. You'll be free to use this thread to kill time till the interntional break is finally over.

Now that i've said everything that i needed to say, i got two more things to say: Keep the 4321 formation. And win the game, no matter what, as we can't afford to lose points to relegation contenders a week before the Derby.

Krunic can come in for Kessie once he is settled. keep Hakan/Samu/Suso/Biglia/Borini/Calabria as far away as possible from the starting line-up. Milan are used to play mediocre players and its time to change that!

I don't understand this. Why play wingers if you don't have to force Suso into the side?

I agree with Necro, I don't think Rebic will start, but I also don't think Biglia or Theo will either. It will probably be the same 11 as Brescia.

So who's currently training in the first team this week?

Reina, A.Donnarumma
Calabria, Conti, Theo, Gabbia, Duarte
Biglia, Borini, Bonaventura, Castillejo.

You can barely make a viable 11 out of that. Not sure how productive the week will be.

Important period for Biglia, Bonaventura and Duarte. None of them are far from the starting XI. I won't be surprised if at least one of them start against Verona actually.

If I had to pick one i'd guess Duarte. Giampaolo seems like the type that doesn't risk injured players so Bonaventura might get subbed in but probably won't start. Same with Biglia.

I think the likeliest to start between those 3 is Biglia. Giampaolo's comments post match Udine and pre match Brescia both seemed to indicate his preference for our Lucas. Not to mention pre-season performance. I'm happy with our options at regista.

I'd love to see Duarte start.

Suso is a lock now for the SS position. If Leao is to play I don't see anyone being replaced for him besides Piatek, which isn't going to happen anytime soon. Right now I think Castillejo will unfortunately play against Verona with Rebic coming on late to prepare him for Inter.

Biglia can warm the bench now that our new algerian gun is here.

That worries me the most is when are going to see a full fitness Bonaventura + Conti + Kessie.

I was thinking more of a Piatek-Leao with Suso behind them.
And they rotate during the match.

If GP does throw all our "best" players into the starting lineup though I would be very excited and hope it goes well since the derby is the following match.

ouuufff yesss that´s awesome. I really hope we´ll see that one.

Bonaventura instead of Suso and we´d be free of the dreaded five: Hakan, Samu, Rodriguez, Suso and Borini. But as I pointed out many times before - at maximum only one of them should be allowed on the pitch so I´m still happy. I´m really looking forward to the game now, even though I expect to be dissapointed.

Looking forward to Duarte too.

I never want to see Suso playing anywhere other than on that right flank. I also think Giampaolo feels the same way based on his words after Udinese and Suso's performance against Brescia.
