Best thing about his performances lately is that Conti doesn’t have to be rushed back and can be eased into action. Gattuso has been using Abate as a late sub for fresh legs in defence lately so Conti can take those 15-20 minutes that Abate has been getting late in games to regain match fitness and not put too much strain on his body. I just really hope Calabria can stay fit this time around, it’s his only problem at the moment is staying on the pitch and if he keeps growing at this rate I see no reason why he won’t take RR’s spot in the team. Good thing for RR is that he is versatile and can play a number of positions so he will always have a spot in the squad.

Very good performance, was still shaky earlier on but his confidence went through the roof after the assist. You can see him pocketing Lulic and the right side before he was deployed to the left, where he finished a great shift.
If Calabria can continue with these type of performances, he would be a great back up for RR as well as filling in on the right.

Milan were leading Udinese until Calabria was sent off for a mistimed tackle and Gianluigi Donnarumma scored an own goal, and the right-back apologised for leaving his team a man light.

Calabria on the right is on a total different leven than on the left. Calabria in this form is impossible to overthrow for Conti in the last few weeks of the season. Which is not bad, Conti surely will need some weeks if not months to find himself back in a good form. It's a bless of god that we don't rely on Conti and on how fast he will regain his Atalanta-form. With Calabria playing like that, I feel very comfortable for the rest of the season and I'll be curous to see in pre-season this summer who will get the upper hand in the picking order.

Calabria is doing good and i'm happy that we have him, the problems are his occasional brainfarts or bad positioning, also Conti is much faster.
If Conti will be ok phisically i think he will take the starting spot before the end of the season.

I liked his sort of ballsy mid-range ground passes. They looked risky initially but they kept coming with success and provided space.
Another great game and it's almost a pity that we have Conti as well, but this is the life of a powerful squad and it's a welcome change.

Conti needs to prove himself as and adjust to playing a classic RB first, didn´t look 100% comfortable there in preseason.
