Very easy to make out who hasn’t been watching the matches. Croatian snob fans might consider him the weakest link, but he has had a top tournament. Very solid for the most part.

First Milan presence in World Cup final since 2006? Grazie Strinic.

From what I see in this post, you haven't seen a single "hamsters" match this WC. Strinić is a complete shiit.

He was good in the group stages, but ever since that match against denmark he has by far been their weakest link.

I can totally see why the Croatians were shitting on him.

shows how many games you have watched or how great your ability is judging players talent (not surprising really)

The commentators and even various pundits have called him their weakest link.

Dude provides ZERO attacking threat and is a liability defensively when matched against fast wingers. I remember at one point in the game he found himself in the box but botched it completely because he knew fuck all what to do with the ball.

Theres a reason why he gets constantly subbed out.

He's meeting the best players in the world tho, for Serie A he'll be fine. Better than RicRod.

So we gonna pretend like serie a doesn’t have better wingers than Yousuf poulsen?

This. From what I seen of Strinic and RR at the world cup, Strinic played much better.

How you gonna agree with him when he was toyed by some danish unknown player.?

The dude can’t defend against pacey wingers and there are many of them in serie a these days

He made messi his bitch... Good enough for me.

Thats not wholly true, is it? Messi just walked abt the pitch this WC... he just didnt play, nobody stopped him.

Poulsen is an very fast 6'5 ox of a player. Every LB would have problem with that, especially in aerial duels since denmark played alot of longballs. It's not like he made an ass out himself in Sampdoria.

There was this one time he absolutely broke hom. Dribbled past him with ease. Also paulsen is the definition of average.

He was horrible against England but great in all the games before that. A starting LB in a WC final is good enough as a backup in this Milan especially for free.

Can a player be transferred twice in the same mercato? We should be able to sell him to an EPL side for 15-20 mln now))

I thought he was great in the first 2 games against Iceland and Argentina.

However, the knockout games were mostly a horror show. I'm not going to speak much about the final since Mbappe can outrun most fullbacks if they don't get help.

However, his games against Denmark and Russia were horrific. England especially, where he made passing mistakes to players 5 metres in front of him. The biggest issue is that he's very unintelligent. His biggest strength is actually his offensive game, but I didn't see much of it in the knockouts. Defensively, he's really bad and can only somewhat work if the left winger has insane workrate, similar to Perisic.

attacking-wise is weaker than RR, which as slow and predictable as he can be, at least has a quality left foot

played good defensively, nothing special but worth being signed for free, the only problem is that we needed an upgrade, not a backup

"On 10 June 2013, Halilović made his debut for the senior team against Portugal in a friendly match as a 50th-minute substitute for Ivan Strinić. At age 16, he became the youngest debutant in the history of Croatia."

Two old friends reunited at Milan..he was Halilovic substitute when he made history once, we should just bring in Kovacic from his time in Dynamo Z to make it complete.

Never thought high of him but at the same time fell sorry for the lad. Forza Ivan and hopefully a prompt recovery.

Ivan Strinic is set to be out of action for a long time. AC Milan have announce that the former Napoli and Sampdoria defender has been diagnosed with heart problems, which also clarifies the deadline day signing of Diego Laxalt.

According to Milan’s official website, Strinic suffers from an initial hypertrophy of the heart muscle. Further check-ups will be made, but only after a period of rest.

For this reason the player will have to temporarily suspend competitive sport activity until the completion of exams.

The Croatian international signed with Milan this summer on a free transfer and was looking to build on a great World Cup run with Croatia with the Rossoneri. However, as of now, it seems the player will be out for a lengthy period of time.

How did the medical not pick this up though? Or is it something that occurred to him after signing?

At least he was a free transfer though.
