Gattuso seems not to be able to get his teams to score goals.
This seems like a Hallmark of his coaching style.

You can ramble on about the squad quality....but his decisions.... especially his seemingly misplaced faith in Kalinic leave me with more questions than answers.

At this stage we shouldn't need to be needing a goal to panic play Silva and Cutrone up front. Kalinic is shit. This is an indisputable universal truth.

Also Suso's mind is clearly elsewhere and I can't blame him with Grintuso at the helm, playing him in a manner that doesn't maximize his output. Though I can't blame him....I now also say he can fuck off as long as we get a better replacement..... though I'm starting to think that it's more Gattuso who shouldn't have been prematurely renewed.

Agree with most parts minus the agenda against gattuso.

We are getting better at playing it out the back.Our passing is better until the final third, we press better, defend better

I see reason for optimism for next season

If we win 4 out of our last 5 games in serie A and draw to atalanta away, you would have to say gattuso has had a decent stint in charge since new year

There's little reason not to hand it out at the end of the season, I agree. I suppose there's a connection to our transfer strategy.

3/5 games were Juve, Inter and Napoli though...it's not like that doesn't matter.

Would you say the same thing if Gattuso had instead started cutrone and silva in a 4-4-2 leaving out kalinic and Aceventura and we still drew this game? Torino scored due to a defensive error from a set piece. And last I checked, we were missing Romagnoli, who's been a wall in defending our set pieces for us.

No I wouldn't have said that....but then again...I'm not sure that we'd be in the predicament we got ourselves in if we were constantly bombarding Torino.

Gattuso had two options 1) Start Kalinic 2) Not start Kalinic

-He chose to start the shit one.
-The shit one didn't score (shocker I know :eek:

-Torino scored...i.e. we now needed a goal
-He takes off the admittedly shit Suso and brings on Silva and Cutrone
-Now we have two strikers on but less supply....even though said supply was playing like shit. Who better to trust to cross in the ball for Silva and Cutrone than Suso. Didn't Silva's last goal come off a Suso cross? Honestly, the grinta tactics need to yield to a little bit of strategy every now and then!

Agreed. Nobody can deny that Gattuso has fixed the defense and the midfield to a large extent.
Bonucci looked semi-pro before he came....our defense is pretty solid. I'll give him credit for that.
