Twitter, Milanello:
Maxi Lopez' agent has been at Via Turati for the past hour, where he's in a meeting with Galliani and Braida.

Hmmm true. Delaying payment by 2 years is a very nice move by us. But i can see why city were hesitant. If at the end of 2 years Galliani goes "nah. thanks but no thanks" then they would be majorly trolled and livid.

Not for 24m it's not. Loan without obligation to buy, fine. Anything else is a waste of what little money we have. We're fine on strikers.

There are far too many to name past & present
The 2 year loan works, as Tevez's past history shows that he is good for 18months - 2 years then goes off the boil or can get upset easily tbh. WEith that said hes a great player and does work for the team.

Straight swap for Pato and Tevez would have been good.

Anyway this thread is where we buy Barcelona... the City. :o

Thats not the point, because then we will have to pay for him afterwards anyways.

All the 2 year loan means is that we don't have to pay for him for 2 years. City will most likely demand obligation to buy after this 2 year period.

It is just like them doing us a favor not making us give them the money for a little while. I guess its a form of persuasion, but in the end it doesn't really make the deal better for us in the long run...

You should make yourself ready for giving Tevez a chance. ;)

He deserves it. You can't deny his will to join milan is impressive.

- Maxi Lopez, despite the recent good news on the front of Tevez, does not seem to give up the dream to wear the Rossoneri shirt. The Argentine, according to the latest rumors, will remain in Milan, continuing to stay in a hotel in downtown Milan. Meanwhile the player's agent Andrea D'Amico, went to Via Turati for a meeting with Galliani and Braida. And 'likely to be a clear strategy in place to facilitate the landing dell'Apache with the Rossoneri, for this reason it would still be the official Maxi Lopez arrived at Milan.

- Check the figures of between Milan and Catania for Maxi Lopez, signed yesterday in Via Turati. As reported by "Sky Sport 24" , the Argentine has signed a contract for 3 ½ years with the Rossoneri. At Catania should be 500,000 euros for the loan, and 8 million and a half for the ransom.

Of course it does. With Inflation, in 2 years, especially in Europe where they print Trillions of Euros to save the Banks will mean that the money is worth a lot less in 2 years.

Furthermore, we can SELL him within 2 years if we need to and never have to lay out cash. And, if we sell another player (Pato, Ibra, Robinho), we can use that money to eventually pay City. It's for sure better.

Yeah, I understand that it is better, but I'm just trying to explain to people that we aren't getting Tevez for free for 2 years and then be able to just let him leave.

If we don't want him we will still have to sell him, and the loan isn't FREE, we still have to pay his wages:thumbsup:

Lopez and Tevez.

Berlusconi likes attackers. We know that. Now bring a midfielder and we have a deadly team.

Thats true, bevause his value will depreciate by 2014 since he will be 29 and since we are probably obliged to pay full amount after two years, I.e. 25 mil, it doesnt benefit milan whatsoever:fp:.

Yes, of course. People are not thinking clearly if they think he will leave for free in 2 years.

Thats true, because his value will depreciate by 2014 because he will turn 29 and since we are probably obliged to pay full amount after the two year loan completion, I.e. 25 mil, it doesnt exactly benefit milan whatsoever:fp: although the lad is worth the price even though he is a lil prick.

If we're starting with far fetched predictions: in this thread we'll sell both Pato and Binho to pay for Balotelli and Tevez. :g:
