from the games i saw benevento likes to defend deep and play counters
overall they dont have good players, defend as a whole and use 3-4 players for fast attacks.

kessie will be back, theo suspended for yellows
still injured ibra, benna, kjaer, gabbia (samu?)

This is going to be a tough one without Ibra. Inzaghi is going to hunker down like an armadillo and we will have to crack him open.

These matches concern me more than ones against sides like Lazio and Sass. Oh well, let’s get the 3 points. It would be great to see us keep a clean sheet.

Yup. These kind of teams play with 11 players behind the ball and close down any centimetre of space. Ibra is crucial for games like these to bring anothee dimension to our game, especially effective against smaller teams

They didn't play bad this season against some good teams:

Benevento - Lazio: 1-1
Benevento - Juventus: 1-1
Benevento - Napoli: 1-2
Sassuolo - Benevento: 1-0

On the other hand also:

Benevento - Inter: 2-5
Roma - Benevento: 5-2

Anyways, of course always a must win game. Pipo will definitely go for a draw, so it's gonna be one of those games again..

Ibra will be sorely missed

Both Inter and Roma play with very physical CFs like Lukaku and Dzeko unlike the others.

Honestly, teams like Benevento are hard to play against because they put 11 men behind the ball and give very little space. We usually perform against teams that are more attacking but struggle against catenaccio teams due to a lack of a physical CF (with Ibra missing).

Hoping for a win.

The Genoa and Parma games may have had the same outcome(2-2), but they looked vastly different.
The Genoa game, without Theo, was our worst performance of the season in Serie A. He was sorely missed in that game.

Imo players like Calhanoglu need to step up and decide games lime these. Dalot could never fill Theo’s boots. We need a decent shift from him but Calha, Rebic & Kessie need to give us the win.

No, they play pretty progressive, high pressing and with a lot of intensity. Almost suicidal high line sometimes.

Kill or be killed. That's what it is, some kamikaze shit. As long as out defence is solid, we should be scoring multiple and not get hit by them.

It's the kind of game where Ibra and Bennacer would be very useful. They'll be hunting down our back four anytime we try to play from the back, so long balls is the way to stretch them and force them back. Might work with Leao and Rebic though, even if it's just the fear of them getting into space that pushes them back.

I'm actually worried about Tonali this game, he has a problem with sometimes dwelling on the ball a bit and too often gets dispossessed in dangerous areas. This is Benevento's entire gameplan, really, so we need to be vigilant.

Why does it feel like Theo is ignoring Hauge?
In the Lazio game it was like Hauge wasn't even there.
Hauge wasn't bad, he just wasn't involved in the game.

I want to see Hauge in this game to see how he does without Theo.

theo was passing to hauge and hauge to theo
same other game before

problem with hauge he way too often just stay very wide and wait for the ball next to line instead of making runs.

also when hakan or leao play as lw and theo overlap he usually dont get ball because they prefer to cut inside and pass/cross.
