I'm wondering will they organise a pre-season match next year? This would have been huge for Shamrock Rovers and Irish football in general to be played under traditional circumstances with fans being able to attend. If you're any bit talented as a player you quickly leave to play in England , so to have a club of Milan's stature and quality of players is massive.

Can't wait for this game, the week end EPL games have got me all excited for football, even though the break was more shorter than usual.

I hope we take the EL serious, and would love to win it.

our first visit to ireland, 1975

'Arriving in Ireland accompanied by their own personal chef, food, and supply of wine, it's safe to say Milan probably weren't prepared for the conditions at St. Mel's Park.

Pulling up in their team bus dressed in the type of style you would expect from a suave Italian outfit, they were greeted by what could be described as testing conditions under foot.'

There are only three days left for AC Milan's official season, which kicks off in Ireland with the match against Shamrock Rovers for the second qualifying round of the Europa League. A match in which the presence on the pitch of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not yet certain, who missed the last friendly matches against Vicenza and Brescia due to some physical ailment.

OPTIMISM - Pioli does not want to take the slightest risk in such a delicate phase, with the Rossoneri returning to the field on Monday 21st for the league debut against Bologna, but the latest feelings from Milanello lead to optimism about the bruise to the right leg accused in recent days. In the Europa League, Rebic will miss due to disqualification, who in the second part of the last season also proposed himself as an alternative to the Swede in the role of first striker.

COLOMBO SURPRISE - Should Ibra continue his work apart both in the training session scheduled for today and tomorrow, at that point the alarm would go off and a starting shirt could end up on the shoulders of 2002 Lorenzo Colombo, one of the two top scorers of the pre - championship with three goals.

I know its a one-legged tie and everything is possible but Shamrock are probably below the level of serie b clubs, we should be able to smash them easily

GDS thinking Saelemaekers will start

Gazzetta - Milan, the probable formation against Shamrock Rovers

In today's edition on newsstands, the Gazzetta dello Sport took stock of the possible formation of Milan who will face Shamrock Rovers on Thursday evening. The Rossoneri, in particular, could take the field with Donnarumma in goal. In front of him Calabria, Gabbia, Kjaer and Theo. In midfield, the couple made up of Bennacer and Kessi? is confirmed while the trocar should be made up of Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu and Castillejo. In front, if he does not have relapses, the irreplaceable Ibrahimovic. In the event of a forfeit of the Swede, space for Colombo.

I'm excited to see Colombo in attack with Castillejo and Salemaekers as inverted wingers. It could be an important game for them to cement their place in this group.

The rest of the formation is solid and we should win this two or three nil

I would rather see Daniel on the left than Saelemaekers
