Inter's Amantino Mancini Joins Milan - Report

The Brazilian's move will be made official later today...

Amantino Mancini has joined Milan on loan until the end of the season.

Sky Sport Italia say new developments will see the Rossoneri take Mancini without having to sacrifice Marek Jankulovski who was set to join Inter as part of the deal.

Earlier reports claiming there would be a Jankulovski-Mancini swap were met with skepticism by Rossoneri chief Adriano Galliani who said such a deal was "unlikely to happen."

Fresh news from Milan suggests the Rossoneri will keep Jankulovski and the Brazilian has joined Milan on loan until the end of the season with the option to make that move permanently.

The former Roma man left training from Appiano Gentile earlier than expected on Monday, and he was heading to sign a contract with Milan. An official announcement is expected later.

UPDATE 13:42 CET: Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has now confirmed the move: "There are some details we are tying up and Mancini will arrive on loan with the option to buy half of his rights permanently. Jankulovski will remain with us," he said.

Mancini has not been a central figure in Jose Mourinho's plans this season, making just six appearances in Serie A, and one in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Inter's move for Lazio's Cristian Ledesma seems to be on hold. The midfielder's agent is currently with Claudio Lotito meeting over a deal.

"A.C Milan communicates to have aquired Amantino Mancini from Inter on loan with the option to buy half of his rights from Inter."

Alessandro Faiolhe Amantino, best knows as Mancini, born August 1, 1980 in Ipatinga, Brazil), has moved to local fierce rivals AC Milan on loan for the rest of the season 09-10, with the option for AC Milan to buy half his playing rights at the end of the loan period.

Unfortunately, he will be unavailable for MIlan's Uefa Champions League matches, as a result of being played once on an away match against Rubin Kazan, Tuesday-September 29, 2009.

The 29-year-old former Roma attacking midfielder had been pushing for the move behind the scenes after rejecting a transfer to Marseille.

Milan boss Leonardo has been keen to add an alternative to Ronaldinho on the left-hand side of his attack.

Earlier today, it was reported Galliani had offered Marek Jankulovski in exchange for Mancini.

However, it now appears the Czech full-back did not feature in the deal at all because he would like to return home.

Mancini was also attracting interest from former club Roma. He has made just one starting appearance for Inter so far this season.

I think this deal will go through... ^^

Don't know what to think about this, maybe a genius move á la milan or a flopp move also á la milan.

Either way, it's good for the depht of the squad. I don't wanna see beckham as a winger, he sucks there and makes a fool of himself.

He has been so bad in last year or so with Inter that Italian journalists have gave him a nickname "ex-giocatore" (no translation necessary). It's like he lost all the speed & skill he once had. But, hey - Milan had similar case with Ronaldinho (I know - comparison between their football talents is blasphemy) and we rigged him into more or less proper shape.
We desperately need backup for attacking positions and Mancini could turn out good. His natural position is LW, but he also played RW, AMF, SS (even as a lone striker for some time) in Roma. Off course he will be useful ony when he gets into adequate physical shape. Hopefully all this Brazilian hype in Milan would help him and bring that extra work motivation out.
It's a loan deal so we're not losing any money from our tight transfer budget right now so I guess this is a decent bit of business done by Galliani.

I think he'll be happy with all our brazillians, hopefully he'll add something. I have to say though he's a winger, and he has played in lots of different positions over the years. I'm interesting in seeing where this goes, to say the least.

I'm telling you this guy will do well, he was a great player with Roma he just needs his confidence back, watch and you will see we will bring a smile back to his face, hope he starts against Bologna Beckham has been poor in the front 3.

Hopefully he is another in the long line of Ex-Merda players that played great for Milan. :star:

I only remember this:

Is he CL eligible?

Good old Baldhead with his deals. Hopely Amantino will continue the tradition, where player sucks in printer and then shines in Milan.

I'm guessing he will, simple because he belongs in the position much more than Becks does. If anyone can motivate him it will be Ronnie's recent success and Leo's charm.

No worries if he isn't CL eligible, he can be used to rest Dinho perhaps before a CL game.

Just don't stick him on corner duties just yet.

Maybe he thinks coz its a loan deal it doesn't count as an actual signing. Who knows.

I think this proves we are definitely not counting on Adiyiah and therefore Mancini will be used as backup.

I have never laughed so hard this early in the morning.

Me too, that video can really make you laugh out loud, that's so funny :D
So please don't let him near a corner flag anymore.

I think Inter merda is just shit, if you're great you will suck as soon as you wear their shirt. We turned some former Inter players (who were not good there) into great players, so we can do it again. I hope he will be well here and also get back to his best as we also did get back Dinho to be better.
With him and Adiyiah we should have some good backups now for Dinho/Pato, hopefully they perform great then they are really useful.

I would say it will be official, there are many concrete reports now so it's more or less already done.
Seems like Leo got what he wanted, now he needs to make him better and to shine for us. Not really a surprise that we have another brazilian in our squad because Leo is also one.
