He's good but has a lot of baggage. I'd keep Montella this year. This is easily his best squad yet. This is his time to blow up.

I think it will better if we fire Montella now, bring in Frank de Boer, and then fire him to bring in Conte.

But I'm guessing management wants cash, for some surprise by the end of the mercato.

Looking at the players that are most likely going out, you know that we'll have a few more signings other than Kalinic. No way are we going in the season with this squad alone.

So Paletta and Gomez out = 1 or 2 reserve CBs arriving

Jose Mauri and Sosa out= 2 midfielders arriving

Niang out= 1 forward/winger arriving

Calabria probably out on loan. Probably Cutrone as well.

Only Zapata to cover a back 3... And considering Romagnoli injury situation, that's crazy.

If Gomez get sold they'll need to buy another CB at least

I would guess around 5 or so. Doesn't mean they will all be big signings. A few loan deals or swaps here and there as well.

Calabria cant be leaving unless we have an RB coming in. We dont have enough fullbacks, and we have not used any Primavera fullbacks in the pre-season so we arent depending on them.
