Key game.

After a bad loss to Atalanta, need to win. With a clean sheet.

Forza Milan!

Really looking forward to seeing more of him.

Interesting to see how we play without an AM. I remember Pioli tried the 442 before reverting to a 4231 for balance. Leao had a great time with Ibra up front.

It will be a tough match, Bologna at Stadio Del Arra is not easy but of course we are the much better side.

In light of the injuries I would go for

Gigio
Calabria Tomori Romagnoli Theo
Meite Kessie
Saele Krunic Rebic
Ibrahimovic

I would like to see Leao introduced around the 65th minute in place of Ibra, Rebic or Saele

Also give Bennacer a late showing and maybe Tonali too

How would you line up that 4-4-2 with currently available players?

I really hope we see Mandzukic at cam, maybe even play 442, rather than using Daniel in first 11

MarioMand as a starter is a risk... fitness questionable and playmaker role requires a deep understanding of your tactics and team mates attributes which doesn’t happen overnight.

Seems like Tonali will be unavailable for this match so I suppose Meite will start again with Bennacer coming in for the last 10-20 mins

Leao-Ibra
Rebic---------------------------Saele
Kessie--Meite

?

Or perhaps it's more likely he'll start with the 4231 with Krunic at AM, or possibly Daniel or Hauge.

Edit : Kru instead of Diaz.
Suggesting Maldini is a joke.

Wish we had Ben to try him as a vice Hakan.

Diaz is out Wild.
And I can’t bare a back to back to back starting spot for Meite.

Why?

And Meite is 50/50.
He seems on point to position himself both defensively & offensively but still not able to benefit from it.
For me thats a good starting point & the rest is up to him & our coaching staff.
We need to give him more games before we write him off completely like a Samu.

The problem remains the injuries, because in addition to the absences already known, Milan lost two other pawns on the street after the meeting in the Italian Cup. Simon Kjaer injured his left thigh rectus femoris muscle and will be reevaluated with further resonance in a week. Brahim Diaz has a problem with his left thigh flexors, he has already started the appropriate treatment and will be monitored according to clinical evolution. The first will surely miss in Bologna, while the second will hardly recover. In its place there will not even be Calhanoglu, still struggling with Covid, so Pioli will have to study a new solution. On the other hand, both Mandzukic and Bennacer return to the squad, the latter after fifty days of absence due to a hamstring injury, and Sandro Tonali should too.

Yeah something like that. I think Pioli will learn from the Atalanta game in that there's no reason to sacrifice for the AM role if someone like Hakan can't take advantage of it. I don't think Hauge, Daniel or even Krunic can give much in that space to stop Ibra from being isolated. Much easier to just ask the LM and RM to play deeper and narrower when we're defending, and have two attackers stay up front.

I'm thinking same as you, Leao Ibra up top and Rebic on the left.

Why go 4-4-2 when its easier for us to go 4-3-3 with Krunic who prefer such formation?!!!
Its the formation that needs the least tweaks from the 4-2-1-3 that we play.
