yeah man, really not our race last weekend... so... is Spain coming weekend already or what?

No, Spain is not this weekend, it's three weeks after China, so still two weeks left until the race in Barcelona.

Webber wins Spanish GP. Alonso and Vettel takes second and third place respectively. Surprisingly Schumi manages to take 4th place.

Next race this weekend, Monaco GP.:)

Only when Vettel and Webber are winning, and Alonso is losing.

Loved it when Hamilton got a puncture on the last but one lap! ROFL.

Schumi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4th place!

Shame webber didn't crash out, would have loved Alonso to win, and a Schumi podium.

+1

Webber has been my favourite driver for many years now. Nowadays along with Vettel. Wonderful when Vettel replaced Coulthard so my favourites are together in one team. :D

Alonso is my least favourite for years now. Followed by Michael Schumacher who hold that title before Alonso joined. Of course, it takes an Alonso fan to say something discrageful like hoping Webber crashes out. :head:

I said "shame he didn't" I didn't explicitly wish him to, but I wouldn't have minded it, because I love Schumi and Alonso.

Obviously you don't...

though I knew Pedro didn't anyway.

Was a shit GP for me, so bad Hamilton got a puncture in the end of the race, he would've finished 2nd. A lost podium for McLaren, so sad for Lewis :(
Also I was pissed off that fucking Schumacher was blocking Jenson the whole time because our car was much faster. Too bad overtaking is so hard in Barcelona, Jenson was attacking the whole time, just couldn't get past him.
That's what I don't like about that circuit, no wonder all the time the guy who starts from pole position also wins this race.
Just hope that Monaco will have a better end for us, normally McLaren are always good there, so I hope for a 1-2 finish.

why do all the Mclaren fans call it blocking, he was driving defensively FOR position. Jenson COULD have overtaken him, but kept trying just one place over and over, and Schumi is far too wise.

He's not going to let him get past, and it was for track position, he had a much inferior car, and couldn't pull away, so all he could do is keep Button behind him, which he did. Get over it.

I didn't mean it that way, I just said blocking, but haven't meant it that harsh. I know he was defending his position, no problem with that, I just wish Jenson could've overtaken him, but it's really hard on that circuit in Barcelona. I was just sad that we couldn't overtake Schumacher.
Sorry if it seemed like I was attacking someone because of that, you may thought that. I'm already over it, don't worry, situtations like that one always happen in Formula 1, I'm used to that.

Alonso did awesome to go from 24th all the way up to 6th. Funny that he finished 7th though, after Schumi stole his place right as the safety car went in! :D

very impressive drive by alonso but the day really did belong to the red bill drivers and Kubica who had an awesome drive both in qualifying and in the grand prix

@lisa button had a mechanical failure, the commentators seemed to think that the engine overheated in his car there was certainly a hell of a lot of smoke

It was because Mclaren left a plate which covers the radiator (to stop dust etc getting in) on his front left radiator, so it made his engine overheat.

24th to 7th****

he was up to 6th, but after the safety car went in, Schumi slammed his foot to the floor and ducked under him! gaining 1 place lol!

what? omg.

How the hell was it illegal.

This year, you can overtake once the safety car is in and the first car crosses the white line.

If the race ends under safety car, you can't overtake, but it didn't, Webber finished the race, so it was perfectly legal! grr!

i believe the teams were notified that the race would finish under the safety car rules, but with the safety going ahead and pulling in. lol idk, but notice that schumi was the only one who tried it. everyone else knew what was up

well, no, others tried it too, they all went for it at the end, and it's clear that the safety car went in BEFORE the race ended, so imo, their appeal should be successful.

Probably won't be though, Damon Hill is the 4th steward

Too bad that's true, I couldn't believe we have such stupid mechanics, I'm really sad for Jenson now, race was over in the second lap :( I understand that humans make mistakes, that happens to everyone, but you can't forget to put that plate out, that is a really stupid mistake and cost us important points. I'm sure we have the same mechanics doing that job every race, so it's something you automatically should do and not forget to remove the plate. Hopefully next race it will be better again, Lewis also only could finish 5th, but at least some points, better than nothing.

...which was illegal, which is why schumi was given a 20 second penalty. that's what you get when you fuck with the red cars.

24th to 6th

I also think it was illegal because you can overtake after passing the start/finish line, but that was the last round so you're not able to do it.
It's true that the safety car was in before, but that's always that way and you're allowed to overtake once a new lap began and you passed the line.

Not quite susan. Last year, it was that you couldn't overtake until you passed the start/finish line, this year, it's anywhere once the safety car is in unless the race ends on a safety car (which it didn't)
