This is true. Del Piero is the one Italian legend from the 90s who was seriously over-rated. Nowhere near the same class as Maldini, Nesta, Totti, Buffon, Pirlo.

Del Pieros on his highest level was goat- like. However he was inconsistent as hell n always injured. Only season he managed to perform o a high level troughhout the whole season was when he and the rest of the Juve squadra went full Lance Armstrong- mode and stuffed their faces and veins with shots and pills.

They don't really deploy the same tactic though. Besides the way Atletico plays fits the type of players they have, Mourinho takes some of the most expensive attackers in the world and forbids them from going over the half way line.
