Following their day of rest the Milan players were back at Milanello today to focus on performance tests.

MILANELLO - Massimiliano Allegri and his squad were back in training this morning at Milanello, following the day of rest yesterday, to work on performnace tests starting at 10am.

All the players, except for Ibra and Cassano who were on the outdoor pitch completing some running exercises under the watchful eye of Mauro Tassotti, gathered in the gym for a warm-up.

They then moved to the indoor pitch to work on some exercises to test their agility and acceleration over short distances.

Then on the raised pitch the players completed running excercises over 40 metres. Mexes worked in the sand pit while El Shaarawi stayed in the gym to continue his specialised program.

The squad will resume training at 5.30 this afternoon.

By the way, Djokovic ( Tennis n.1 in the world) was present at Milanello today.

wonder who'll be hitting free-kicks and corners this season

Ibra was been pretty awful in free kicks last season, while in corners has been a mix of Seedorf, Robinho and Cassano with bad results in any case

MILANELLO - After the morning session Milan were back on the training pitch at 17.30 in front of around 2,000 fans.

The session started with a 30-minute warm-up which included a keep-ball drill followed by ball possession.

The main part of the session last for 40 minutes and was centred around tactical and technical drills with the team divided into two groups over the pitch.

A 20-minute 11-against-11 match ended the session and during the afternoon A.C. Milan announced: that midfielder Mathieu Flamini suffered a muscle injury in training yesterday and that he underwent a scan at the Galeazzi institute which showed minor damage. The player is expected to be out of action for 15 days if there are no complications.

The team will train tomorrow at 10.30 and will leave for Malpensa Airport at 14.30 to fly to Munich.
