if we sign Montolivo as LCM and Ganso as trequartista, i'll give my hope up for CL. Whenever Milan played Flamini at LCM and made Gattuso-Van Bommel and Flamini, we suffered and lost many points.
Montolivo is not a mezz'ala. Ganso is not big signing. good player but not big name. He is really 55 m euros worth player? Ganso is worth 15-20 m euros at most in my opinion. İnjury prone+ slow + didnt prove himself at highest level.
Even inter fans doesnt rate them. if you sign quality players who make difference, rival fans doesnt want this signings. as i didnt want juventus to sign Aguero or i dont want juventus to sign Vidal. But i wanted juventus to sign Pirlo or Ziegler but Lazio's RB, i didnt want.
I agree Ganso is slowely but surely looking less and less like the player to take Milan forward if we get Monty, but that surely means that Monty for cheap is a good piece of business as long as we get a mobile, fast, dynamic CAM ahead of him, no?
All this Monty bashing is getting boring now, no ones saying he's the best option, but he's a good option. No one actually knows the full extent of the Fininvest fines affect on our budget, perhaps the fact we're closely being linked with Monty shows that we have cash for one big player and thats it, not Mr X plus one from Hamsik, Pastore, Nasri. If thats the case Monty for LCM at under 10 million, and Pastore or someone of a higher class is surely a very good piece of market movement by Milan.
As was mentioned earlier we're building a pretty much new midfield unit, if by some miracle we land Monty, Aquilani plus a Pastore type signing, thats 3 less players to replace next Summer... If we get Pastore and Monty this Summer, then a similar quality couple of midfielders next Summer, mainly a new DM and probably CM, we've overhauled our midfield in a very short time frame. We're not getting 2 Mr X's this Summer, then another 2 next year along with Nesta's replacement, lets be real people!
To mention other Italian clubs signing big, least we forget the biggest movers in the market over the past 12 months, that I'd say was Milan with Ibra, Binho, Prince, Urby, Cassano and MvB to name but a few. People actually thinking we'd be lucky enough to get a similar ammount this yearshouldn't be too put out, we haven't been too hard done by. So far we've signed one of Italy's best youngsters plus two very good free transfers, Monty and one more on top of that is a very competative market, lets not get too down because some bought into the B&G usualy bullshit about champions, Mr X's only to be fed the usualy we're competative and the team is complete.. Can we not agree that come the end of this market Milan is a shadow of the team that stubbled to the Europa League not to long ago!
