Against Malmo looked better. Against Juve, it looked like people wanted to cover his space which can lower his gain of experience.

He is a 17 year old brasilian defender in ac Milan! Come on people... If you cannot see the talent in this boy then just dont write stuff. How many 17 year olds play CB in great club with such passing on their mind, no fear at all! And 1 on 1 he is superb at times.

Go Ely! You'll see in 2,3 years...

His defense is pretty good but his passing is abysmal. Needs to really cut down on those long hollywood passes to nowhere and keep it simple...

Kid, you aint Silva level yet :o

he's got the right idea though. gotta admit that. i hope he turns out to be another great defender, eventually becoming as good as Silva, if not, better. he's got alot of years to go yet. but for 17 years, the potential is there.

+1. I guess he is not used to the tempo of real games and just don't know how to judge his pass at this level. Well, that's the best excuse I could come up with.

Interesting comment by Galli bout Ely

"It 'an interesting player, very good. If you're ready for the big leap? Must increase in aggression and speed of thought when the team is in possession of the ball. Also has dual passports (the Brazilian and Italian, ndc), and can be quickly inserted in the Under 19 ".

exactly what I thought and said when we saw him playing vs Malmoe

...ely has the double passport so he can choose beteween Italy and Brazil.

Hmm, that's what I thought. Would be nice if he chooses Italy over Brazil :)

^ I dont think it is good or bad.

I really do like he is playing for the Italy U-19 NT, it would be nice for him to progress up the ranks with the Azzurri

Haven't seen much of this kid lately but I'm hoping he'll develop into a very strong, reliable player. Lord knows we need some defenders that we can actually rely on, as opposed to acting as stop-gaps.

Kind of slow and to be the stopper, he made a bad jump for the first goal of Ambro. Second quarter, it seems that he did not played. From what I have seen from this game and the game lost 3-4 to Inter. He looks that he has good vision, passing skills (long & short) However, defending he lacks confidence the most plus once he makes a mistake, it seems they keep coming (mostly from the tape against Inter when he was many times out of position) Kind of reminds of onyewu which it is a bad thing; but, I think he needs to read the game better.

I remember he was naive the time he got the chance to play for us in last season's friendlies... trying to do the fancy stuff while he was last man
